i just watched it. one of the better episodes this season i think. Butters had me cracking up the whole episode. the burn down hot topic song was incredible. i didnt see a panic shirt but i think i saw what looked like the A7X logo.

So... is that really how Twilight is? Like, when they were talking about what kinds of vampires they were? I've never even heard of Twilight until like a month ago so I have no idea. If so, that'd be so fucking funny.
I am also very glad that the goth kids burned down the Hot Topic. Perfect.

11/20/08, 08:32 PM
They mentioned Twilight toward the beginning, and with the movie coming out tonight, I figured it would have been the source of the new fad.
But regardless, so awesome. I want the burn down Hot Topic song.

Best episode in a long time.
The Gap shirt that the Goth kid had that had a sail boat on it was hilarious to me for some reason.

but im really happy with this season...keep up the good work fellas.

south park puts a smile on my face 95% of the time, while i may not laugh and call episodes sub-par the show is endlessly amusing to me. the characters personalities are so perfect for simple vieiwing and amusement.
what's scottsdale or scottstown or whatever he said? is that a real place? I was hoping to see a clip of it.. none the less this was the best episode of this half of the season.

They reair the episodes on Thursday nights at 10. In my opinion, the episodes aren't that great, but this weeks was great. The made fun of Twilight (sorta).
At the school, all the popular kids started this whole vampire trend, and the goth kids got pissed because everybody was confusing goth and vampire. It was an amazing episode.

I completely agree. I wished that they would have mocked it almost in the way that they did with Indiana Jones.
Overall I liked this episode and I have enjoyed this season so far. I almost wrote them off after last season which I hated sans Imaginationland.

You probably don't hate them as much as I hate Randy at this point. A few seasons back he was one of the funniest characters on the show and now he's so damn annoying. I was really bashing on the newer south park episodes until I caught that Indiana Jones episode. I'll have to check out some more new stuff. I'm just stuck on the old Succubus & Spontanious combustion episodes.

So I recently saw the Pandemic eps again, I realized that Linda (Butters' mom) referred to her husband as "Chris". Which is weird, as that was his first name when he was introduced, then in season 11 or 12 they started calling him "Stephen/Steven" and now evidently he is Chris again.

Definitely. This could be a great one if they don't half-ass the execution. Which was a big problem the HSM episode (if we compare episodes about Disney franchises). It was a wonderful idea. So many ways it could've succeeded. None of them were chosen.

The double standard of Comedy Central's censorship department is just outstanding. Such a great, great, episode last night. I thought it started a little weak, the Jonas brother's song could have been funnier, though I haven't actually heard the band before so it could have been an exact representation...I don't know? But holy shit when 'Mickey' showed up with his exaggerated wahoos I about pissed myself, and then fear that Eisner was trying to sabatoge him...priceless. I don't know, I thought it was hilarious....
I felt like, if they would have shown who it was, anyone they picked would have been kind of disappointing...
Well, there's no doubt it was funny. I just didn't find myself cracking up as much as I did last week. And yeah, I didn't expect them to tell us, and I don't really care. That's just how South Park is.

I wasn't too big on the first episode of the new series, although the ending and the message were great - overall it wasn't bad, but i didn't laugh that much. The Coon was probably the worst episode so far this season, and it wasn't really all that bad, just wasn't very funny. This new episode was purely old school south park, light on message, but high on cheap laughs. I perfer it when they do a couple of these a season, every episode doesn't need a serious message..
