I think they're really lame, who else does?

I really don't even think of them as pop-punk.

And.. I don't think they're that lame. Even if they're in a rather bland scene, they do what they do pretty well.

I saw 'em in Cologne, the Concert was great :D
After the Show we went in a bar with them and had "a few" beers

i dont really like the cd much, it all sounds like it belongs in some miller lite commercial or something, but that song on the punk goes acoustic cd is good

I liked them for about a day, but I think they ruin Van Wilder because they play like.. the entire CD in that movie.

Their album pretty much is the soundtrack to that movie. Tara Reid makes me feel like killing. I love that movie anyway. Ryan Reynolds really is reminiscent of a young Chevy Chase.

Their songs are hit or miss. Start Static was decent for its time. Lights Out has a few good tracks (basically the first half). I never got into Palm Trees. Overall, indifferent.

Whatever happened to these guys? I haven't heard ANYTHING from them since the release of Lights Out.

DaveZeroZero
12/24/08, 08:45 AM
They were a lot bigger in the UK than America I think. I don't think they have much of a fanbase going.
I'm one of about three people I know over here who know who these guys are. Where they're really big is in Japan.

They used to have videos on music tv about five years ago. They also opened for Blink on an arena tour which got them a lot of fans.
Damn, I wish I had seen blink on an arena tour =[

Or any tour at all, for that matter.

Haha. I saw them when I was in 5th grade at the DC101 Chili Cookoff. They were actually one of the bands I enjoyed there compared to some of the other bands that were playing. They covered a Ramones song too. I've never really listened to them outside of that though, don't care to either. My music taste has changed since 5th grade.

Blink were a terrible live band. You didn't miss anything. I saw them four times and they were awful at all four gigs.
awful?

-LY GOOD!

start static was actually a pretty awesome album. I know people who like a lot of different kinds of music who still listen to start static, and get really into it. It's REALLY hard to find a well rounded top to bottom album with unique pop punk type songs.

Both Start Static and Palm Trees & Power Lines are quintessential summer albums. Check 'em out and let me know what you think.

Start Static, all the way.

I have a newfound appreciation for the secret track on there.

Palm Trees and Power Lines is also good, along with about half of Lights Out. LO really disappointed me.
