I recommend this music book: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Hal-Leonard-VH1s-100-Greatest-Songs-of-Rock-Roll-Book?sku=903385 for all pianists/keyboardists who have a good taste in music. I LOVE it, I use it 24/7, no lie.

im more a piano player than a keyboardist seeing as i havent really messed around in synths or sine waves or anything like that, but i do the keyboard/singing thing. word up!

dont take away from what an amazing instrument the guitar is though.

Ok so i am trying to start a band i want to incorporate romantic type parts l;ike beethoven like intros with like massive screaming in some songs since im better at that. BUt i also want to do like synth like stuff with like hardcore guitars and like crazy double bassing.

What will sound better or should we just do both.

i have a question for those of you that are piano players...
i want to learn how to play the piano first off. im thinking about taking lessons, but not geared towards learning ridiculous pieces and tomfoolery i will have no use for, but i am looking for something to help get me started. what do you suggest, im brand new at this too. ive played guitar for five or six years and bass for longer than that, should i start with learning scales? is that as basic as it gets when youre new? i have a keyboard and will need to get a foot pedal obviously, but im in need of some help. and also, that two handed mess looks as though it will be fucking atrocious to learn. any books, lessons, things youve come up with to help you along the way?
thanks!

Hey first off im Elizabeth. Ive been playing since i was 4. How i started off was by learining simple finger placements. Once you learn those then its easier to go from there. also since you've played guitar, im assuming you know notes, then once you know finger placements you'll know the notes on the keyboard/piano. That will be really helpful. If you have any more questions just ask, i love helping people with piano stuff.

Can you use a microKORG to control FL Studio (fruity loops)?

Hey i'm not sure if you can but i'm pretty sure that its possible because they have a feature where you can add new instruments. But Korgs pretty much do the same thing as the fruity loops program, acting as a synthesizer but try this link it might help.

Hoped this helped!
