Should the first game of this MLB season have been played in Japan, which meant being broadcast at 5 AM EST here in America?

Personally I don't think it should have. No matter who the teams are, I always like to watch the first game of the season, but there was no way I could get up at five in the morning to watch the game.

Inspired by the ESPN poll?

I say no. Exhibition games are fine, but it takes away from fans. If I were a Red Sox/A's fan I would be pretty unhappy if I had to watch the opening games by waking up that early.

I don't like it seeing as I was only up in time to see the last two innings.

The first game of the season should always be on Sunday Night before opening day

wow, now that is stupid. I always thought that the true opening day wasn't for another week or so...which is why this date confused me.

If they want to play baseball in front of a stadium full of Asians they should have just played the game in Toronto

lol the A's have to play the Sox tomorrow and then they have to play again friday in San Francisco and the Sox have to play in LA on friday...jet lag anybody?

the MLB could care less about the fans.....they want to expand their market and make even more money than now hence them playing in japan for the first game

I personally don't mind it at all. If you wanna capitalize on MLB's popularity, you have to expand it world wide.
