I posted this in the official Panic thread but maybe this is a better location:

Can anybody recommend me some stuff that is similar to the new album? I know people are comparing it to the Beatles, but I've never really been able to get into them (yes, I said it). Is there certain stuff in particular by the Beatles I should check out, or do you know of other bands (maybe more recent?) which have stuff more similar to the new Panic album? Thanks y'all.

I second The Hush Sound and Augustana, and add the "LOVE" compilation of the Beatles tunes. It's from the Cirque De Soleli (spelling?) show they did a while ago, and I know it's Beatles songs, but they're re-mastered and are very relatable to the new Panic record.

^^ good call with love. it has some stripped down parts, some bigger sounding stuff, great blended material and kinda gives you more of an opportunity to catch on with the beatles rather than try to get into any specific album or greatest hits, such as 1.
