TBS and BN fued??

Okay I know that Brand New and Taking Back Sunday had some beef with eachother but I don't really understand the whole thing or why or with who? It's all very confusing to me so if someone who is knowledgeable on the subject could please start from the beginning and just lay it all out, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

They are arguing over which one of them invented playing shitty music. Each band claims they started the movement, but the feud will never rest until the public knows for sure.

Very complicated story, I don't even really know what exactly happened, just something between Jesse and John, then Brand New came up with 'Seventy Times Seven' in light of the story, and Taking Back Sunday came back with 'There's No I in Team', which, got song of the year on ap.net. Just a healthy reminder.

I've read this but I don't understand why John Nolan left TBS and why he and Jesse are okay but he hates the rest of the band. Is anyone for sure on the details of who stole the girl from who? Because I don't understand who this girl is that picked John over Jesse, is she crazy?

John left the band beacuse of numerous rumours ... the only one that has been heard of from the band's mouths are that he left because of musical differences, he didn't prefer the layout they were using for the songs. The rumour that almost everybody believes to be true is that Adam cheated on Michelle Nolan, back-up singer of Straylight Run and brother of John Nolan. Where it stands now? I'm not sure. Brand New and Straylight Run have gone on tour and are going on tour again (Feb/Mar I believe), so everything is good between them. Taking Back Sunday, a whole different story.

yea supposedly i guess john got bored with how they were writing songs and i guess he got pretty pissed off at adam for cheating on his sister so it all makes sense to me. yea on the other thing supposedly jesse's gf cheated on him with john and jesse and john were best friends. john and jesse are equally talented and goodlooking so....... i dont know

the only thing i have to say about john/sean leaving straylight is read their lyrics. john even said that a lot of their lyrics were based on the taking back sundayexperience.

Because in my cd-booklet, in the Thanks section it says 'Thanks to Brand New for a part of the lyrics in "There's No I in Team"' or something along those lines. I'm at school and don't have my booklet handy, but I remember reading that. But yest, that's why the two songs have the same lines, is because of the story or whatever. Meh, I don't care, both bands are likable. TBS = unbelievable, Brand New = enjoyable. IMO.

Yes, both bands are highly enjoyable, but I don't find them to be as amazing as most of the people on this forum glorify them to be.
