what to learn

Hi, I wanna ask a question to all guitarists playing in punk bands who in big shows already. I play the guitar but what should I learn if I want to play guitar for a band? scales? solos? thanks...

My advice: learn everything. Chords, Power-chords, get the hang of fast songs. Try and get advice from people who actually play guitar, unlike me.

Im not really playing big shows at all but i play guitar i taught myself how to play plus im left handed and had to teach myself right because the only guitar i had was right-handed i just tried everyday learning songs off the radio and trying to find out where to put my fingers and what sounded good its all about time take the time and just play what u think sounds good the more u practice songs that are hard to play the better you get play songs that are fast and complicated :)

oh yea and another great thing to learn is timing you have to know how to play the song without it playing in the backround and keep time with all the other instruments such as drums when i started out my drummer would keep telling me im off on timing and its sounds really bad but now its all good so practice timing....go to a teacher
