what i dislike

ok here is a list of the more popular 'punk' bands that i dislike

- yellowcard
- taking back sunday
- rufio
- thrice
- coheed and cambria
- futhur seems forever
- alkaline trio
- nofx
- mxpx
- the flamming lips
- from autumn to ashes
- the early november

this is just a small list of the bands that many of you love that i dont.. dont get me wrong these bands dont 'suck' but i just dont like them and i was wondering if anyone else feels the same way i do.

- taking back sunday - overplayed
- rufio - bad
- thrice - horrible
- coheed and cambria - really good
- futhur seems forever - bad
- alkaline trio - bad
- nofx - bad
- mxpx - were good at a point in time
- the flamming lips - horrible
- from autumn to ashes - horrible
- the early november - the only song i can stand by any band on drive thru records was recorded by them and its called "baby blue"

yellowcard - good. they'll never come close to one for the kids, ocean avenue wasn't too bad, there were some skippable tracks however.
taking back sunday - we won't even go there. My band. :D
rufio - good. perhaps i suppose showed their true talent, 1985 wasn't as good but not as bad as some would say.
thrice - hell no. don't see how somebody can't like this band.
coheed and cambria - talented. I don't like them, personally, because I don't like their style.
futhur seems forever - good.
alkaline trio - good. Goddammit was an awesome cd.
nofx - no real opinion. i like their music, don't listen to them much.
mxpx - see above.
the flamming lips - never heard of them.
from autumn to ashes - good.
the early november - wasted a blank cd on them ... only listened to it once, sadly enough.

they r like one of the best bands EVER. ok maybe not to alot of you, but thier music is sooooo kool. ans fat mike's voice is awesome.

and mxpx is no where near even a little better than them.

i just mistyped.. i ment to put just bands.. not punk bands... i know flamming lips arnt punk at all.
also i wasnt asking about the bands i was just stating my opinoins and seeing what others would say. mainly because i always here about how great some of them are and frankly i cant stand them.. theres no reason to get mad at anything said in this thread.. its all strickly opinion.

- thrice-one of the most talented bands, gotta respect them
- coheed and cambria-great if you're in the right mood for them

- the early november- about 50/50 with these guys. Half the songs they make I really like, half the others just seem to leave you hanging at times.

All those bands you listed (with the exception of The Flamming Lips) are awesome. Awesome bands! Awesome bands! Awesome bands! :) I think you were intending to say that you really liked them. Right?

at first i didnt like Thrice and Co&Ca...then when I finally started to listen and stop griping about them i learned to like them...i could probably like anything out there except for country and rap if i just opened up and listened a little more....

some people on this thread probably have never even heard a Co&Ca song...much less understood what the hell the song was about...
