Fall Out Boy -- **** Live in Phoenix

So, I was listening to the CD on my way to work this morning, and here is what I noticed.

The first half of the CD, up to the studio version of Beat It w/John Mayer sounds pretty terrible, both Patrick's vocals and the mixing, and the musicianship. After Beat It it almost sounds like they used a different feed/sound mix on the CD.

Also, Beat It (studio) really makes me appreciate that Patrick can be an amazing vocalist, which he showed in Infinity on High, but live he definitely loses a lot of what makes him great.

The set list doesn't really grab me as an older FOB fan, but I like Tell That Mick.. and Golden, and Grand Theft Autumn was super underwhelming.

I'll listen some more today and maybe post again later, who knows.

false. i've seen patrick sing live and hit every note perfectly and i've seen him live and sound horrible. after constant touring stress is gonna grow on your voice. the band has also stated in interviews that he has never used autotune for any main vocal melody which is a little too daring to say if it was't true

I got it at Best Buy and they have the CD too. You could probably get it at Circuit City too, probably on their website, probably ebay.

he's not terribile. he just has the weight of that band on his shoulders. the drummer can't keep the beat at all, pete wentz is awful at playing bass and the other guitarist just spins while patrick makes riffs AND sings. and they play so fast he cant keep his breath, if u listen closely. anyway, if the guy above me knew what autotune is, he'd know there's no trace of it on fob's records. i can hear it on the backup vocals but not on the maiun vocals tracks. he CAN sing, he'll probably sing it a hundred times to get it right but i assure you there is no autotune man. anyay i had also read it somewhere that they dont have it on main vocals tracks, but aside from that, you can hear it.
tom de longe abuses autotune, let's talk shit about him, not about the only talented guy in this band.
which, by the way, i love...i just can't help but seeing their flaws.
