View Full Version : Looking for alternate "Narrow Stairs" cover art

Hey all,

I know this is a "punk" website, but I also know there are some huge DCFC fans on here that are pumped for "Narrow Stairs."

When I last looked at the Wiki page on it, it had cover art featuring some morning fog and the Golden Gate Bridge. I thought that looked like a great take on the title, and I really liked the way it was done. Then I saw the official art...and maybe it's just me, but I think the new cover art fucking SUCKS. Not creative, not artistic, not "outside the box", it looks like shit on a shingle in every color of the rainbow was pressed against a canvas. Say what you will, flame me, but I just flat out don't like it. Not enough to not buy the album, but you get my drift.

I don't want that cover art for when I get the album on my computer, and I was hoping to track down the cover art I'd seen; I'm hoping someone else has seen it and could point me in the right direction. A link, advice or a PM would be much appreciated.

I'm pretty much out of options except for this site - I've been combing blogs, Google-searches and crappy fan sites looking for this artwork and I can't find it anywhere.

I know that's the official art...what I'm looking for might have been a demo, or something similar to the Simple Plan "flame" artwork, in terms of possibilities.

It was listed as the "official" art in Wikipedia for a while, so I'm thinking it wasn't something a fan created.

tbh, i can't get into that cover art. i would like to see the 'foggy Golden Gate' cover so if you ever do find it i'd be interested to see.

It's just the golden gate bridge with fog covering it...it looks like a staircase that you'd be going down, with a mist. It's actually really similar to the cover for the movie "Zodiac" to give you an idea...

And I agree, I can't get into that art. If I found this art, I'd absolutely replace it.

I was able to find it in Wikipedia, if you go under the "history" tab of the Narrow Stairs entry.

Unfortunately, it won't allow me to pull the image or even see it, because I haven't had a Wiki account for more than 4 days...what the fuck. I mean, I understand it, but it sucks to be that close and not pull it up.

So alice+interiors, if you have a Wiki account and are curious to see it, it's under March 19th's entry's a few times. If you could pull it up and post it, I think it would make a great discussion over which art is better.
