#1. Miami Dolphins- Jake Long, OT Michigan
The Dolphins will almost definitely not have a strong passing game in 2008, so solidifying the offensive line and the power running game is a must. Long is clearly the best offensive lineman available, and coupled with free agent signee Justin Smiley and running backs Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams will help anchor an offensive line that will hopefully begin the rebuilding process for the Dolphins.
Pick #2- St. Louis Rams now on the clock (jdig)
itsjdiggity
04/04/08, 01:51 PM
#2. St. Louis Rams - Chris Long, DE Virginia
The Rams need to toughen up on defense and Long is a can't miss prospect. Leonard Little is getting up there in age and under his tutelage, Long should be able to grasp different techniques quite quickly. After a disappointing 2007 season, the Rams offense should be up there with the best of them. Arizona and San Francisco's suspect offensive lines and Seattle's non-existent running game will help Long make an immediate impact.
Pick #3 - Atlanta Falcons now on the clock
MyWorldEntire
04/04/08, 06:24 PM
#3. Atlanta Falcons- Matt Ryan, QB Boston College
After the scandal with Michael Vick and head coach Bobby Petrino leaving new the end of the season, the Falcons need a new start. They have many issues on both sides of the ball, but most importantly they need a franchise Quarterback who will lead the team and provide an example to the players. Ryan will start right away in Atlanta and stay there for many years.
Pick #4 - Oakland Raiders on the clock
kshtoinks12
04/05/08, 07:02 AM
#4 Oakland Raiders - Glenn Dorsey, DT LSU
With Warren Sapp gone, Oakland can really use someone to close up that hole. Dorsey is widely considered the best talent at that. He's also a good tool in order to force passes in that secondary and help get those two franchise corners a lot of interceptions. As tempting as it is to take McFadden, if the Raiders really want to succeed this year, they'll address their issues at the offensive and defensive lines.
Pick #5 - Kansas City on the clock.
Vanilla Bear
04/05/08, 11:16 AM
#5 Kansas City Chiefs - Ryan Clady, OT Boise State
With Jake Long off the board, the Chiefs are still in desperate need of help on the offensive line. Clady has great feet and balance, which should help him be able to handle some of the NFL's best speed rushers. Although he'll definitely need to make adjustments to help the run game and get Larry Johnson back on track this year. The Chiefs will look to add more depth to their interior line and wide receiver positions later in the draft.
Pick #6 - New York Jets on the clock
we are cured
04/05/08, 11:33 AM
#6 New York Jets - Darren McFadden, RB Arkansas
The Jets were shocked to find themselves in the position of having both McFadden and Vernon Gholston available at #6. While a player like Gholston could really help their base 3-4 scheme with his ability to shift back in the pass rush as a linebacker, McFadden is simply too talented to pass up. He's an explosive player and will immediately improve the Jets rushing attack.
Pick #7 - New England Patriots on the clock
LeftWideOpen
04/05/08, 11:48 AM
#7 New England Patriots - Vernon Gholston, DE/OLB Ohio State
With Darren McFadden off the board, the decision for the Patriots was a slam dunk. Vernon Gholston is an incredible athlete with the kind of pursuit skills the Patriots have come to lack on the outside. Gholston will likely shift to outside linebacker in the pros, allowing the team to move Adalius Thomas back inside. Also, Gholston's pass-rushing abilities fit the team's sub packages perfectly.
Pick #8 - Baltimore Ravens on the clock.
mikeyxxcore
04/05/08, 03:15 PM
#8 Baltimore Ravens - Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, CB, TSU
With 2 aging corners and the best 2 OT off the board, I feel like it's best to address to CB situation. DRC had a great Senior Bowl and a terrific combine, he should be an immediate help in our secondary.
Killadelphia
04/06/08, 05:19 AM
#9 Cincinatti Bengals - Sedrick Ellis - DT - USC
The Bengals run defense has been atrocious for years and they have not picked a DT in higher than the fourth round since Dan Wilkinson. The Bengals have a lot of holes on defense, but they have to start somewhere and improving the line will always come first.
airik625
04/06/08, 12:44 PM
#10 - New Orleans Saints - Leodis McKelvin - CB - Troy
The Saints defense obviously needs help. Ranking 30th in the league on pass yards allowed, they made the first move in turning this statistic around by signing former Patriot CB Randall Gay. They still need a shutdown corner who can have immediate impact. Leodis Mckelvin had a great Pro Day workout. McKelvin also has a dynamic return game, something that the Saints also lack in.
anamericangod
04/06/08, 01:06 PM
#11 - Buffalo Bills - Devin Thomas - WR - Michigan State
He's big, he's tall, he's not as injury prone as Malcolm Kelly. Lee Evans has been needing some assistance for a long time now, and Thomas is the answer. All around, this guy is great, and with a veteran like Evans to show him the ropes, he has the potential to be something special. Expect plenty of Edwards to Thomas touchdowns this year.
williek311
04/06/08, 05:51 PM
#12 - Denver Broncos - Kentwan Balmer - North Carolina
Denver's DLine is bad. They ranked 30th in stopping the rush last year and need help up front. Balmer is the best DT on the board.
xbrokendownx
04/06/08, 06:24 PM
13. Carolina Panthers- Chris Williams, OT Vanderbilt
The Panthers have numerous holes on both sides of the ball, but getting a standout tackle like Williams to anchor the OLine will be huge. He does not possess great strength, but makes up for it with his excellent mobility and technique. He will make an immediate impact with the Panthers offense
CubbyNick42
04/06/08, 06:58 PM
14. Chicago Bears - Jeff Otah, OT Pittsburgh
The Bears' offense can take a big step toward respectability with a little retooling on the line. Clady, Williams, and Otah will be the most prominent targets on the team's radar, and while the former won't last any longer than the first ten picks, it seems likely that one of the latter two will fall to the Bears. Only two teams got less production from their ground game in '07, but with the wealth of solid RB options available this year, they can afford to wait a couple rounds before addressing the situation.
Pick #15 - Detroit Lions now on the clock
MyWorldEntire
04/06/08, 07:41 PM
15. Detroit Lions - WR no jk RB Rashard Mendenhall, RB Illinois
At first it seemed likely that the Lions would take a corner here, but by trading for Leigh Bodden and signing Brian Kelly they are now can address their issues on offense. With the top 3 offensive tackles off the board, the Lions need to address their running game. After releasing Kevin Jones, the Lions are pretty thin at RB, and they need a running back who can take the pressure off the passing game. Although Mendenhall only had one big year in college and didn't play in a pro-style offense, he a big guy with 4.45 speed, and he proved against USC that he can play against a big time time defense.
Pick #16 - Arizona Cardinals now on the clock
Chris M.
04/07/08, 01:19 PM
16. Arizona Cardinals - Aqib Talib, CB Kansas
It's a tough decision for Arizona to make between Talib and Jonathan Stewart. But, with 2008 having a deep running back class, and Edgerrin James likely still having another year in him, Arizona would be foolish to pass up Aqib Talib. Talib is the most NFL-ready cornerback still on the board, and that's just what the Cardinals need.
Pick #17 - Minnesota "Top Five" Vikings now on the clock.
1moreandimfree
04/07/08, 02:52 PM
17. Minnesota Vikings- Derrick Harvey, DE Florida
Harvey will step right into the starter role as Minnesota has already lost Erasmus James and Kenechi Udeze for the upcoming season. He will complement the Williams' well and will add to the already dominant rushing defense that Minnesota has. Harvey also provides pass rushing, something that Minnesota has lacked in recent years.
Pick #18- Houston Texans now on the clock
LeftWideOpen
04/07/08, 03:03 PM
18. Houston Texans - Jonathan Stewart, RB Oregon
With very few draft choices this year, and all the stud OT's off the board, Houston could very well look into trading this choice in hopes of acquiring multiple picks. Still, there remains multiple players available that the Texans would love to have on their roster. After seriously considering both Kenny Phillips and Keith Rivers, though, the Texans elect to draft Jonathan Stewart. This gives them the franchise RB they've never had before and gives the team it's first multi-dimensional attack on offense since the franchise's inception. On the cusp of being a wild card team in 2007, this is the pick that could get them there in 08.
Pick #19 - Philadelphia Eagles now on the clock
Scott Weber
04/07/08, 03:29 PM
Interlude - Seattle Seahawks throw a slight fit of rage as Stewart is taken off the board. Despite their temporary stop-gap at RB with Julius Jones, his front-loaded contract begs for him to be cut in a year or two.
Killadelphia
04/07/08, 03:41 PM
We have a trade.....The Eagles are likely trading up or down and I don't expect them to draft at 19.
19. Philadelphia Eagles - Phillip Merling - Clemson
With all the first round offensive tackles off the board, the Eagles will upgrade another need at Defensive End. A safety is a need, but drafting Kenny Phillips here would be somewhat of a reach, especially with his character issues. The Eagles expect Darren Howard to move inside to DT and Juqua Parker is by no means a full-time starter with his small body.
If the Eagles do indeed trade Sheppard, Mike Jenkins - CB is a possible pick. I do not expect the Eagles to draft a WR here. I would expect them to try to move up in the second round to pick Hardy from Indiana.
Pick #20 Tampa Bay is now on the clock.
Clarett'sGreyGoose
04/07/08, 04:11 PM
20. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - QB Brian Brohm, Louisville
The Bucs have three glaring needs on this team. They have aging cornerbacks, aging wide receivers, and a group of quarterbacks that are either aging (Garcia, Griese) or probably won't ever cut it as a #1 (McCown, Simms, Gradkowski)
Brohm doesn't have a huge arm but he is accurate, which would fit well into Gruden's West Coast scheme, and with Garcia as the incumbent #1, Brohm would be able to sit and watch and be groomed for at least 1 season.
Also, this pick pretty much came down to QB or WR, and honestly, with the depth of this WR class, Tampa will still be able to snag a good WR in the 2nd round.
#21 Washington is now on the clock
GiggsOho
04/07/08, 05:09 PM
21. Washington Redskins - WR - Limas Sweed - Texas
If the Seattle Seahawks threw a rage when Johnathan Stewart was off the board, then the Redskins draft room erupted in an outright riot when the Eagles drafted Phillip Merling, a player that would be a perfect compliment to Andre Carter. While Calais Campbell might be an option here, this is still a very deep draft for the D-Line. There is too much talent at this point to pass up a big WR, which is another glaring weakness for this team.
Redskins need a big receiver to compliment Santana Moss and Antwaan Randle-El, and new HC Jim Zorn would love to have someone in the 6'5", 220 lb mold that Sweed fits in. As the old adage goes, "You can't teach tall." With Malcolm Kelly having health issues, and newly acquired Jerome Mathis fulfilling the return role, there is no need for DeSean Jackson with a talent like Sweed still on the board. Redskins fans just hope this doesn't turn out to be another Michael Westbrook.
Dallas Cowboys are on the clock.

04/07/08, 09:01 PM
#6 New York Jets - Darren McFadden, RB Arkansas
The Jets were shocked to find themselves in the position of having both McFadden and Vernon Gholston available at #6. While a player like Gholston could really help their base 3-4 scheme with his ability to shift back in the pass rush as a linebacker, McFadden is simply too talented to pass up. He's an explosive player and will immediately improve the Jets rushing attack.
Pick #7 - New England Patriots on the clock
Why would you draft DMC with 20 million already invested in Thomas Jones...?

#22 - Dallas Cowboys - Malcolm Kelly - WR -Oklahoma
With the likely departure of Terry Glenn this season and the possible departure of Terrell Owens next season, the Cowboys are in need of a WR, especially since Jonathon Stewart is off the board.
#23 Steelers are now on the clock.
Killadelphia
04/08/08, 06:19 AM
pick 23 - pittsburgh steelers - branden albert - g - virginia
with an offensive line that fell apart at the end of the season and only got worse in the offseason with the loss of alan faneca, the steelers need to start rebuilding the line. no better place to start than replacing your all-pro guard with a gigantic physical presence to step right in at guard. he has the size of a tackle and more athleticism than your typical guard. he also brings a very physical style that will help get the line back where it needs to be to play steeler football and help keep the 100 million dollar franchise quarterback off his back.
pick #24 Tennessee Titans are now on the clock.
livethesounds
04/08/08, 02:25 PM
sorry, i didn't know this was starting already.
Pick 24 - Tennessee Titans - DeShawn Jackson - WR - California
With the unexpected amount of receivers coming off the board early the Titans options were slim, but the choice was an easy one as they are looking for not only a big play reciever but a punt / kick return threat as well. Jackson proved at Cal he's both, and will be one of the main targets for Vince Youngs new passing attack.
Pick # 25 Seattle Seahawks are on the clock.
Scott Weber
04/08/08, 03:48 PM
Pick 25 - Seattle Seahawks - Kenny Phillips, FS, Miami
With the signing of Olindo Mare, the Seahawks are in the enviable position of not having any specific holes to fill. While the secondary was improved, the safety play left something to be desired, as FS Brian Russell struggled to cover deep routes. Phillips is a stellar coverage safety, with excellent run support as well. He will enter a 3 man safety rotation in Seattle with Brian Russell and Deon Grant.

04/08/08, 09:24 PM
Pick 26 - Jacksonville Jaguars - Calais Campbell, DE, Miami
"Bobby McCray bolted as a free agent and since Reggie Hayward is still struggling to regain his pre-injury form defensive end is now without question the Jaguars most pressing need. There are certainly other pass rushers in this draft who are a little bit flashier but Calais Campbell may be the best all-around defensive end available. "
Pick 27-San Diego Chargers-Gosder Cherilus, OT, Boston College
Looking at their depth chart it is somewhat difficult to pinpoint many glaring needs for the Chargers. Difficult but not impossible. One area that is now a concern is right tackle, where Shane Olivea was released and Jeromey Clary is far from a proven NFL starter. Gosder Cherilus struggled at times as a senior in '07 but he was playing out of position at left tackle so that must be factored into the equation. Make no mistake about it Cherilus has what it takes to be an excellent right tackle in the pros and he could be a steal here. San Diego also needs to find another safety to team with Eric Weddle so Kenny Phillips and Reggie Smith could be strong possibilities here as well.

Pick 28 - Dallas Cowboys - Felix Jones - RB - Arkansas
The Cowboys need a change of pace back to counter Marion Barber after the departure of Julius Jones. Replacing one Jones with another most would argee Felix has more talent coming out of college than Julius, so consider this an automatic upgrade at the position.
Pick # 29 San Fransico 49ers are on the clock
Killadelphia
04/09/08, 01:00 PM
Pick #29 San Francisco - Quentin Groves - DE/LB - Auburn
Groves is a perfect fit for the San Francisco 3-4 defense, with great sub 4.5 speed off the edge. Groves is definitely not suited for the 4-3 weighing only 259 lbs. With the help of Mike Singletary he should develop into a good end-rusher.
Pick #30 Green Bay is up.
selftitled85
04/10/08, 06:49 AM
Since whomever is doing GB is a douche I will pick for them...
Pick #30 - Green Bay - Mike Jenkins - DB - University of South Florida
Green Bay has one of the best cornerback tandems in the league with Al Harris and Charles Woodson. Unfortunately they are both starting to get up their in age (33 and 31 respectively) and therefore use their first pick in the draft to address the depth issue. He has the skill sets to match up man to man (68 passes thrown his way only 28 caught for a 41.48%) and has the speed to return kicks if need be (4.38 40 time).

Pick #31 - New York Giants - Keith Rivers - OLB - USC
Initially the Giants were hoping to go with the best value at LB with this pick probably aiming for either Dan Connor or Jered Mayo...but with Keith Rivers left on the board this pick is a no brainer. The Giants lost two OLB's to free agency and therefore have a large hole to fill. Gerris Wilkenson hopes to take over for Mitchell meanwhile Kiwanuka could possibly be moved back to DE leaving this starting spot open to Rivers.

PATRIOTS PICK FORFEITED
Round 2, Pick #1 (#33 overall)- Miami Dolphins- Brandon Flowers - CB - Virginia Tech
The secondary might have been the biggest problem with the 1 win Dolphins last year. Teams were basically able to throw at will on them, which is why taking Flowers here would be huge. He is fairly small for a corner at 5'10'', but makes up for it with his ability to make big plays. He will have an opportunity to step right in and start opposite Will Allen, who may have been Miami's most consistent player all season last year.

#34. St. Louis Rams - Early Doucet, WR LSU
With Issac Bruce gone, the Rams will need another solid receiver alongside Torry Holt (although Drew Bennett is fuckin' boss).

04/10/08, 08:42 PM
#35. Atlanta Falcons- Phil Sims, DT Auburn
After the release of Grady Jackson, the Falcons are dangerously thin at nose tackle. Sims will help improve the league's 26th ranked run defense, the Falcons were very lucky a player of this caliber fell to them.

04/11/08, 02:33 PM
#36. Kansas City Chiefs - James Hardy, WR Indiana
With Dwayne Bowe emerging last year, the Chiefs expect teams to double cover him and will need depth at the position to open things up down the field. Hardy has great size and speed and should be physically ready to help Kansas City's passing attack.

04/11/08, 02:57 PM
#37. New York Jets - Jerod Mayo, ILB Tennessee
The Jets will look to add to their linebacker regime for their 3-4. Mayo's a ferocious competitor that led the SEC in tackles last year. He's quick enough to shift to OLB if need be, but will likely contend with Eric Barton for the other starting role at ILB alongside standout David Harris.

04/11/08, 04:06 PM
#38. Atlanta Falcons- Sam Baker, OT USC
With the Falcons drafting Matt Ryan in the first round, they need to start solidify the line to protect the young QB. Baker has all the tools needed to be a great OT in the NFL for years to come.

#39 Baltimore Ravens - Anthony Collins, OT, Kansas
With JO either going to be retired or hurt, they need to add one more piece to the new line they've been working on for a couple seasons.

04/11/08, 04:35 PM
#40 San Francisco - Antoine Cason - CB - Arizona
With back-to-back offensive tackles off the board, the 49ers need to look to another position to upgrade and they get a steal here with Antoine Cason. The Niners need to draft a corner because Walt Harris is getting up in age. Cason will compete with Shante Samuel as Harris eventual replacement. The Niners could have picked a WR here, but a lot of WRs went early.

#41 New Orleans - Trevor Laws, DT - Notre Dame
The Saints still need help of Defense even after drafting a CB in the first round. They decide to go w/ Notre Dame's Trevor Laws. This man beast had 112 tackles, four sacks, and even blocked three kicks. He can provide immediate help to the Saints on the defensive end of the ball.

- Playwithfire's pick. I assume he'll explain why later.

04/12/08, 07:30 AM
#43 Denver Broncos - Mario Mannigham - WR - Michigan
With the loss of WR Javon Walker, the Broncos need to groom a wide receiver to play across from Brandon Marshall. This move would also allow Brandon Stokley to stay at the slot position he is better suited for.
Clarett'sGreyGoose
04/12/08, 11:14 AM
#42 Buffalo Bills - Dustin Keller - TE Purdue
- Playwithfire's pick. I assume he'll explain why later.
After addressing their first offensive weakness with a big WR to play opposite of Lee Evans, they address weakness #2 by adding a true receiving threat at TE. Robert Royal is an above-average blocker, but a terrible option as a receiver. Trent Edwards excels at quickly reading the defense and using his checkdown options. A QB in this mold NEEDS a quality receiving threat at TE, which is something Keller or even Fred Davis or Martellus Bennett could become. Keller is just the best available at the moment.
This came down to either CB or TE, but with the signing of Will (Peterson) James it seems any CB added to the roster will be in the "mid-round" portion of the draft, although I was tempted to take Cason until he slipped off the board.
Round 3 priorities should be C and CB

04/12/08, 04:06 PM
#44 - Carolina Panthers - Joe Flacco - QB - Delaware
With starter Jake Delhomme getting up there in age, the Panthers will gladly take Flacco, arguably the second best QB in the draft behind Matt Ryan, here at #44. He possesses great size and has possibly the strongest arm out of any QB in the draft. He will develop nicely under Delhomme and likely be ready to step right in for him when his time is up

04/13/08, 06:08 PM
# 46 Detroit Lions - Dan Connor - MLB - Penn State
With a perfect match of value and need, the Lions draft room is estatic with the addition of Connor. The former Nittany Lion has the athleticism Rod Marinelli desires out of his LB's.
#47 Cincinati Bengals are on the clock.
mcfly21
04/13/08, 06:38 PM
#47 Cincinnati Bengals- Curtis Lofton- MLB- Oklahoma
Cincinnati will look to upgrade at any of three postitions at this pick. (WR, TE, and LB) With the prospects that are left, the Bengals will look to shore up their front 7 with Lofton. There defense was horrible last year and focussing on that will be a priority. They would look long and hard at Fred Davis as well.
Minnesota on the clock

04/14/08, 05:19 AM
#47 - Minnesota - Reggie Smith - CB - Oklahoma
The Vikings have a fantastic rush defense, yet a horrific pass defense. Another gifted corner is needed opposite Antonio Winfield, allowing Cedric Griffin to move to safety and Marcus McCauley to play nickel.
Atlanta is on the clock.
Chris M.
04/14/08, 01:15 PM
#48 Atlanta Falcons - Tracy Porter, CB Indiana
With DeAngelo Hall signing with the Raiders, and Chris Hutchins as the Falcons' current number one corner, it's fairly safe to say Atlanta is in dire need of a cornerback. Porter will likely step in right away and be a starter for Atlanta, and though he wont be as good as DeAngelo Hall, he should be an adequate replacement.
#49 Philadelphia Eagles are now on the clock.
Killadelphia
04/14/08, 02:41 PM
#49 Philadelphia Eagles - Justin King - CB - Penn State
With the likelihood of the Eagles trading Lito Sheppard, that leaves a secondary hole that the Eagles need to fill. They'd prefer to draft a safety before a corner, but there is no one available. Justin King could also help the team's returnman woes.
#50 Arizona is up.
Chris M.
04/14/08, 04:50 PM
#50 Arizona Cardinals - Jamaal Charles, RB Texas
Although Edgerrin James rushed for over 1200 yards last season, and is only 29, he has begun to show signs of slowing down since joining the Cardinals. With all the top tier running backs off the board at this juncture, Jamaal Charles is the logical pick. Under James' tutelage, Charles will develop into a solid NFL running back, something that in a few years, will be a need for Arizona if not addressed now.
Other logical picks for Arizona would be to continue to improve their weakness at cornerback, or draft a wide receiver to replace the departed Bryant Johnson, though I think Arizona will wait to later rounds to address these needs.
#51 Washington Redskins are now on the clock.

04/14/08, 06:01 PM
#51. Washington Redskins - Lawrence Jackson - DE - USC
As mad as the Redskins were not getting a DE in the first round, that's how excited they are to be getting Lawrence Jackson at this spot. Jackson led a USC defensive with 10.5 sacks last season, and has accumulated a mantle full of postseason accolades over his collegiate career, including a second-team AP all-american last-season. A man with first-round talent, new defensive coordinator Greg Blache will salivate not only at the talent Jackson brings to the field for rush defense, but also the ability to free up Andre Carter on the other end.

#53 Pittsburgh Steelers on the clock.

04/14/08, 07:51 PM
#53 - Pittsburgh Steelers - Red Bryant - DT - Texas A & M
the steelers need d-line depth and youth, and bryant is a player in the same mold as their own casey hampton. bryant is actually bigger, stronger and quicker than hampton was coming out of college though. working behind hampton and hoke will be the perfect guidance for bryant to become a dominate nose man in this defense that relies so heavily on dominating the line of scrimmage. there are other players at other needs available here, but this is too good of a fit to pass up.

#54 Tennessee Titans - Ray Rice - RB - Rutgers
The Titans have become somewhat like the lions taking WRs in the first round, though they have a habit of drafting RBs in the 2nd round. The past two years they've drafted RBs in round two and only once did it pan out. With Chris Henry's work ethic and cutback ability in question as well as his spot on the team it seems fitting that the Titans would make everyone scrath their heads with this pick once again. Ray Rice could be a sleeper in the draft, something like a Maurice Jones Drew type back, he has the cutback ability, can pound the defense inside and has amazing breakaway speed. The Titans may have finally found the real lighting to Lindale White's thunder.

# 57 Miami Dolphins - Erin Henderson - OLB - Maryland
Henderson is perhaps the best OLB in the draft not named Keith Rivers. With the outside pass rushers on the team getting near the end of the line, Henderson fits in perfectly as a Joey Porter-like understudy.
Jacksonville Jaguars on the clock.

#59 - Indianapolis Colts - Cliff Avrill - DE - Purdue

#60 Green Bay Packers - Xavier Adibi - Virginia Tech
Green Bay needs help at the LB position in coverage. Adibi has the speed and coverage skills that can help solidify that hole. After spending the first two rounds solidifying up front and the DB positions, Green Bay uses their second second round pick on Adibi who helped anchor a Virginia Tech defense that was third in scoring defense, fourth in total defense, and fifth in running defense.

#62 New England Patriots - Martellus Bennett - TE - Texas A&M

#63 New York Giants - DaJuan Morgan - FS - North Carolina St
The Giants lost their best safety to free agency and picked up a good veteran to compensate. Unfortunately the veteran is slower than nails and prone to getting beat deep. The other safeties on the team, are relatively unproven and need an upgrade. Morgan is a powerful, smart, and has good hands and good instinct. He is also young and has a high ceiling.

#64 Miami Dolphins - Jason Jones, DE - Eastern Michigan
Jones is a guy who fits well in the 3/4 scheme and can get to the QB in a hurry. Any Bill Parcells defense starts with pass rushers and the addition of both Henderson and Jones give Parcells some much needed depth in that area.
