I HATE EVANESSENCE! I think her voice is soo high and screechy and they have no talent. Amy Lee tries way too hard to sing and it is really annoying. Does anyone agree?

i cant say ive ever been a fan of evanessence. ive never enjoyed listening to any of the songs and hate them greatly now that ive heard them so many times on my long busride every morning
one thing that really bothers me (as ive stated before) is how it seems they use the singer as a gimmick. its not like anyone really cares about the band behind the music, they just show the hot lead singer. im sure the same can be said for a bunch of guy 'bands' where they just put the dude with the six pack on the album cover or something like that, but this just sticks out to me.

But the band itself? It sucks. The lyrics are so.. self-centered, it seems. And the instrumental isn't all that great. I only like the original version of "My Immortal".

Amy Lee actually does know how to sing whether you like it or not...she has alot of talent in that department.

if you listen to the whole cd, you might think that all the lyrics are similar in a way, but if you think about it, all these other bands talk about the same subjects in theire songs (most of them, not all)

Totally agreed. They were ok when they first were getting played and stuff, but they're overplayed way too much now, just killed it for me. :) A few songs are good though on their CD.

not a fan! they is some shady stuff going on- all their performances that say they are live have some delay and I know MTV made them lip sync some of their songs before. So I'm not too into a band that cant play live

I found it quite ironic how when they made it "big", the lead guitarist guy quit...don't know why, don't care.
