why does this thread have no love?! this song (& paul simon in general) is bloody brilliant. "the obvious child" is a great opener to a very overlooked album (the rhythm of the saints). the tune has a great melody & that south american percussion blends perfectly with his folk ways. such an emotional singer & the most musically exciting folk ...ever?

Yeah, Paul Simon album covers aren't too aesthetically pleasing haha. The tunes are all that matter anyway.
