i do not know anything about vinyl. nothing.
please please please don't make fun of good ol' kid b.

but anyway, i am interested in purchasing a record player.
i dont know anything about brands, prices or blah blah blah, so please just recomend what i should pick up and leave some info.

its not much help but the standard play speed is 33 RPM.

but seriously you can get one for fairly cheap at target or get this and be able to rip vinyls to your itunes

Ive been looking in antique shops around here once a month or so, but I cant find a fresh needle to save my life, let-alone a record player thats in good condition. I may just give up on my search for records.:-(
