Well, since none of my friends listen to decent music, it's a tough question.
But they seem to like to sing along to Don't Stop Believing by Journey (who doesn't?) and It's Tricky by Run-DMC. haha.

"Miss Murder" - AFI
"King For A Day" - Green Day
"Surrender" - Cheap Trick
"Ohio Is For Lovers" - Hawthorne Heights <---- What's funny is that some of my friends who are pretty into HH always get angry with me when I sing it purposely bad and make lame attempts at screamo. Others get it and applaud me.

assistant. assistants. by trophy scars

I remember when we were just sixteen and dreaming.
Drinking in the basement, just shouting and screaming.
Listen to our favorite records all while thinking,
Some day were gonna be there on stage all singing.
Remember breaking hearts and getting hearts broken?
Lying to our parents on what we were smoking?
Solving all our problems with bottles and women?
Even though we knew were better off without them.

Singing along with friends barely ever sounds good, I don't think anyone does it outside of just having fun... Obviously it's not going to sound good for screaming either.

I don't know about your friends, but my friends aren't exactly what I'd call skilled in the vocal department. Singing along is fun regardless of how bad it sounds... it's actually easier with screaming for a band like ABR than singing some songs... (consdering ABR's scream isn't that hard. It's not like he said he sings along to converge...)

i'd have to disagree, any song can be fun as long as you and your friends aren't douche bag perfectionists (not directed at you). and i also just realized i'm arguing on august burns red's behalf which i would rather not do.

There's nothing like going home from college to see all your buddies during a holiday, where you all congregate to one of the friend's houses which invariably has all of said friend's family there. The family all want to say high to friend's buddies, of course and have them join in on Christmas Caroling.

Last year, all seven of us just starting singing Death From Above 1979's Pull Out until everyone gave us the oddest looks. Nothing like singing about pulling that bad boy out before you dispense the pearly soup around a family to liven things up and invoke the spirit of togetherness.
