I'm making a mix for my friend who is in love with the following:

Story of the Year
Armor for Sleep
Lostprophets
AFI
Silverstein
Monty Are I
30STM
Madina Lake
Scary Kids Scaring Kids

I was the one who turned him on to most of those and I've run out of bands to choose from.

RESTRICTIONS:
-No punk
-No excessive hardcore screaming (as little as possible)
-No godawful myspace bands who are just getting their shit together

He also really loves The Killers - but please please if you're going to recommend a band going on the fact that he likes them PLEASE NO dancey stuff (Franz Ferdinand, Kasabian, Kaiser Chiefs, etc.) When I say he likes The Killers, I'm talking about Mr. Brightside, Smile Like You Mean It, Change Your Mind, etc. I recently got him hooked onto Luna Halo's "Untouchable" - a song that is a TOTAL rip off of Jenny Was A Friend Of Mine, but still good all the same.

A lot of specifications, I know... sorry. Thanks!

eh. I'd say Jimmy Eat World, only because I listen to all of the above bands and can never get enough JEW, check out the stuff off of futures, clarity, or well.. any album.i'd recommend specifically clarity. Check out A Change of Pace, look for songs with less screaming, they're from partially the same area as Scary Kids Scaring Kids. Handcrafted myspace.com/handcrafted (i know, no myspace bands, but these guys are solid). At the Drive-In, Coheed and Cambria, Classic Finch (What it is to burn). And The Format. If you could narrow it down for the type of song, i could get back.
