*i think the Days Away Ep - the feel of it , is a good EP and so is jamison parker's notes and photographs.. even though everyone is sick of them cause of the pop up....

Good, solid list. I find it hard to disagree with any of the albums on that list excluding Coheed, but that's a different story.

Props, good list.

Ha Ha Ha....are you serious?

your relatively new to music aren't you?...Yeah Deja Entendu was amazing, a sophmore album that no one every dreamed of, Brand new did an amazing job on that album, but it should not be number one...in the top ten...maybe, probably, but i don't agree to number 1

review
12/27/03, 06:21 PM
cursive- the ugly organ

bear vs shark- right now youre in the best of hands and if something isnt quite alright your doctor will know in a hurry

the mars volta

deathcab for cutie- transatlantism

murder by death- who will survive and what will be left for them?

i didnt see any of these on your list, maybe i missed some

all of them should be in the top 20, let alone the top 83

BuriedAlive
12/27/03, 06:47 PM
wow Between The Buried And Me number 1? what the hell is wrong with you? that cd blew so bad. and thrice in the top 10... whats up with that? that cd also wasnt any good... and having blink 182 in the 70's? and fall out boy around the 70 also? and boysetsfire in the top 70's and also having thursday ranked only in the top 20's? i totally disagree with your list.

well, you put up a bunch of emo/screamo bands up there...I'm sorry, but hearing grown men bitch forever and ever about girls is not fun at all to me. There are a good number of bands who do that, how is that fun to you?

HIM licks balls. Hairy, sweaty balls. From 300 pound fat guys who just walked up a 10 flight of stairs. and who havent showered for 3 weeks.

rise against's music isn't fun.

Alot of those bands music is fun. Have you heard that Boys Night Out cd? Fuck dude, all those songs are so infectious you've got to have no soul to not want to dance around and do some finger pointing.

just because there's a bunch of bands there with girls about lyrics instead of politics doesn't make them worse.

Rise Against is not fun to listen too in my opinion.

buddy, just because I prefer "power chords and lyrics about girls who broke my heart" doesn't make me an idiot.

I have extensive musical knowledge, but just because I don't listen to The Shins, or the Constantiens or Godspeed or Cat Power or British Sea Power every fucking day, does not make me an idiot.

Murder By Death does not make pleasing music, no matter how much you call me an idiot. Neither does Bear VS Shark. Mars Volta pissed me off because they just try too hard to be this amazing conceptual band with these 20 minute jam sessions in songs. It's fucking boring.

different strokes for different folks dude.

I'm not saying whats right nor wrong, I'm saying my opinion.

That Between The Buried And Me record is all over the place. it's so busy, full of black beats, breakdowns, and everything else. I love that shit thats really technical and just blows your mind on how they coud play that.

Fuck dude, I love grindcore. Noise rules.

alright. I'll check some of em out then but try and ignore the lyrics. But in my opinion, bands who whine about girls (which should not be a problem to people especially when you're an American) really degrade the music and my interest in them.

to me, its not what they're singing about, it's how they sing it. a voice is an instrument, and bands who don't use it well...well..usually suck.

I agree like, 99 percent of the way. I totally agree that the voice is an instrument and the majority of the singers out there do not know how to use it, at all. I do feel that some singers like Tim from Rise Against, Dexter Holland from the Offspring, Serj from System of a Down, use their voices to the fullest...and then some. To me, the voice is also a way to convey a message...I just prefer the message rise against delivers as opposed to some of those bands.

It's quite funny hearing other people trying to tell a certain person what to like and what not to like. It's never ending, seriously.

NOFX's CD was definetly a dissapointment, along with a Static Lullaby's ... Anti-Flag's newest was quite good, however. Meh.

It's a pretty solid list for that genre of music. I listen to different stuff, therefore my list would probably be a lot different. I'm just happy you didn't put Brand New or Blink 182 at number one.
