Brand New + Straylight Run + hot Rod circuit at roseland.
But I'm seeing Straylight Run at the knitting factory tomorrow, and that should be awesome. So, its between those two, depending on how tomorrow is.

In July...Brand New because they're great. With Senses Fail because they're fun.
i know this is a "punk/emo/whatever" forum..but I have to say some of my fav concerts this year was the Summer Sanitarium tour(i hate limp, but everyone else rocked), plus I had front row..which is hard to do for Metallica/Linkin Park
another one would be Taproot/Chevelle show...that kicked ass, and the Foo Fighters..good times...hmm what else..prolly the Further Seems Forever, Juliana Theory, and The Ataris..that was awesome..plus Warped Tour....Coheed, Brand New, Story of the Year, Thrice, Yellowcard, Glassjaw..woop!

coheed, thursday, and Thrice.
Oh, and the Faint and Cursive rocked Omaha as usual.

Edit: I take back that the Co and Ca show was the best. My favorite show of the year was, without a doubt, ZOX. It was in the upstairs of a restaurant with less than 40 people and was simply amazing. I didn't think it was possible for them to use more energy in a set with such little room to work with.

brand new - hot rod circuit - eisley - orange island at the trocadero is the best show i went to this year
but the early november show at the troc too was really really good even though i got punched straight in the face. but the best moment was when serj did a stage dive from the second story of the troc into the crowed and then he did a front flip into the drum set. it was hot.
warped tour kicked major buns too
much love

Coheed and Cambria, Thrice, and Thursday
i saw a lot of good bands this year, brand new, movielife, senses fail, moneen, fairweather, thursday, cursive, thrice, coca, the get up kids, reggie and the full effect, a static lullaby, something corporate, ex...
but the best of all year surprised me, i saw-
anatomy of a ghost
bear vs shark
hopesfall
in a small bar that could only hold like 30 people, it was fucking insaine, hopesfall sucked but bearvsshark and anatomy of a ghost almost killed everyone.
o yeah, murder by death was cool too
the best show i went to this year was The Movielife.. no competition
the 2nd best show would have to be either Chevelle or Brand New

Blood For Blood/Street Dogs. First Blood For Blood show in 4 years since they've been banned from Boston.. they took away the barracades.. amazing crowd... it was a fucking incredible show.
I went to see Catch 22 tonight and it was really good, but the Punchline and Fallout Boy sets bored me to tears and their fans like to stand there, nodding their heads and poking at the air. Big Wig was good too.
So yeah, Blood For Blood.

I missed Mxpx too :( and The Ataris, damnit.
But I did go to In The Grey/New Found Glory/Sum 41 which was cool. And also Antiskeptic, with some local bands supporting.

AFI, hands down the best live band. Saw them three times this year and I can't wait for their next trip into town. They are absolutely amazing live. Amazing. :)

if I went to the Co&Ca show that would probably be up on my list. But after the Straylight Run show at the knitting factory on Sunday night, I might just say that it surpassed Brand New + Straylight at Roseland.
It was smaller (obviously), not as crowded for a sold out show, and I was right against the stage. I also met a lot of people from the various bands that played. And two of the openers, on my signal + kevin devine, were amazing which is something i wasn't expecting. I also met shaun from straylight run. And when John Nolan started playing Play Crack hte Sky on the piano, and Jesse came out to sing and play guitar, it was insane.
I don't know, they were both really, really good. The Knitting Factory is an awesome venue though, despite its small size.

^^ Did you go to Thrice, Thursday Coheed at Roseland?
Knitting Factory is probably one of my favorite venues.. I like the Bowery Ballroom, too...
Hands down, no competition:
Straylight Run, The New Amsterdams, The Format, and Murder by Death.

But I went to Warped 5 times and those were my favorite days of the year....

warped tour 2003 (july 28 virginia beach), great bands and none beat out thrice...
me and my sister got kicked in the face up there...it was weird
also thought that the Bitter, Broken, Bound, and Gagged Tour 2003 (august 31 buena vista, virginia) with Atreyu, God Forbid, Darkest Hour, and Underoath was great
but then again those are sadly the two only shows that i've been allowed to go to :(
i really wanted to go to one of the shows with Thrice, Thursday, and Coheed and Cambria
wanted to go to one of the shows with From Autumn To Ashes, Every Time I Die, Funeral For A Friend, and Hoobastank
that would've kicked ass...

I think the AFI/Rancid show in Seattle was the best of the year though. AFI own live, they are amazing. And the addition of Rancid is awesome. :)
