he deserves the record. he has carried the ravens this far. i mean come on. they have no qb and no wr so it works out. lewis gets most of the touches and his team runs about 75 percent of the time. its kinda hard not to get the record.

The ravens are already in the playoffs for sure, so I think they are gonna let him get 2000 yards and then rest him. He could do it though.

Vikings had a 12 point lead with only a couple of minutes left. The Cardinals scored a touchdown but failed on the two point conversion with 2 minutes left. They do an onside kick and recover the ball. They get within 10 yards of scoring with only 15 seconds left. It's fourth down and they have no timeouts. On fourth down, the quarterback scrambles and throws it to a receiver in the end zone. The receiver caught it and landed on one foot and was pushed by a Vikings safety. The referee ruled it as a touchdown since the receiver was pushed out of the end zone.
Cardinals win 18-17

I hate Ray Lewis because he's a damn murderer, but he is the best linebacker in the NFL. Jamal Lewis is overrated as hell. He only has so many yards because he's their whole offense. They have no good QB's to throw the ball, and no good players to catch it. Their run yards/game is the highest in the NFL, but their passing yards/game are the lowest in the NFL. There are RB's in the game right now that are much better than Jamal Lewis. Ahman Green is a good example, and Tomlinson from the Chargers is pretty amazing as well. You can argue that he's the Charger's offense, but on top of rushing for about 400 yards less than Jamal, he caught 100 passes. A running back with 100 receptions? Insane.

He didn't get the record tonight, but ended up getting 2nd most in a season, which is still a respectful feat...
