Super Bowl Rigged?

I mean I find it weird when teams that been whupping ass all year go to the Super Bowl and play like they're all rookies.

For example, the Atlantic Falcon game in which they lost horribly but were kicking ass and taking names during the season.

And the last one with the Raiders. That was disappointing.

I'm not saying they should have won or anything. But you gotta admit they were playing pretty shitty for such teams that made it that far.

You are an idiot. Not because you are just stating your opinion. You are an idiot because there is no way in HELL that the NFL is rigged. Its called salary caps and letting players go. Thats the great thing about the NFL. They have rules to keep the leauge competitive and no teams get to dominate every year (The Yankees in the MLB for example). Its not rigged!

All right man. A simple no would have been fine... I know about the caps and stuff. I was saying how weird it was that teams that do so well play so bad during the super bowl. Maybe I shouldn't have said rigged :D

No I don't care for that one. Remember when the Atlantla Falcons went to the Super Bowl? They got their asses kicked around so bad. I mean FUCK it actually looked like the quarter was throwing to the opposite team.

My Raiders got their asses handed to them in 2002. Rich Gannon threw it away and we played our former coach Jon Gruden, we were doomed from the start. I don't believe that game was rigged. I lost a grip of money on that Giants Superbowl win over the undefeated Pats, I still believe someone used a time machine and fixed that game. It just didn't make sense...in any form. Any given Sunday I guess...right?

The only Superbowl I believe was rigged would be Superbowl XL in 2005 where the Steelers beat the Seahawks thanks to controversial calls by the ref's. The fake call on D-Jack for "pushing off" took away a TD and a holding call in the 4th that cost Seattle a pivotal drive. Either way you look at it, the ref's altered the game and determined the outcome. Even senior ref Bill Leavy had this comment the following preseason:

It was a tough thing for me. I kicked two calls in the fourth quarter and I impacted the game, and as an official you never want to do that. It left me with a lot of sleepless nights, and I think about it constantly. I'll go to my grave wishing that I'd been better ... I know that I did my best at that time, but it wasn't good enough ... When we make mistakes, you got to step up and own them. It's something that all officials have to deal with, but unfortunately when you have to deal with it in the Super Bowl it's difficult.

At the time I thought they gave it to the Steelers because it was Jerome Bettis' final game and the Superbowl was in his hometown of Detroit. Maybe it was because the Steelers are a more prestigious franchise than Seattle. Maybe there's an NFL Illuminati that want something in Ben Rapethlisberger. Who knows. Either way, it was a TERRIBLE game, and the worst Superbowl I've ever viewed.

The ref's were throwing flags the entire game, that's why the terrible towel resembles a penalty flag, because that's what helped them win.
