Butch Walker is a fucking genius. I know there have to be a few fans here.

I see this name all the time but I've never checked his shit out.

I think I've heard a Marv3 song a LONG, LONG time ago. Werent they kinda a one hit wonder?

Genuma

They were in a sense, but their hit song isn't even their best really. Hey! Album would be a great album to start with. It had their "hit" on it.

ReadySexGo and Hey! Album are both equally spectacular, but have different styles of rock. Hey! is more alt-rock while RSG is balls-out arena-rock.

Math and Other Problems is also really awesome. A lot like Hey! but since it was recorded before they got signed, it's rawer, looser if you will.

Marvelous 3, Less Than Jake and Weezer are the three bands that I can listen to millions of times and never get tired of, hence the reason they are my favorites bands of all-time.

Fuck him. He's no fan. Sure, it's not as "produced" as their other two records, but it's still just as good if you love anything Butch.

I'm listening to Hey! Album at the moment. I bought it a few days ago along with 7 other CD's (the used bookstore had a 2 for 1 sale on the cheap CD's) but I haven't really spent much time with it because I've mostly been listening to two of the others I got over and over and over. So seeing this thread, I decided to give it a spin. I like what I'm hearing, definitely my kind of stuff.

Nice dude. That pleases me. Anyone who digs Marvelous 3 is a friend of mine because they know what's up.

Thanks. This is really good stuff... I like the harmonies on some of the songs. "Over Your Head" just started and the bass playing really kicks ass. I'm gonna have to get more albums by these guys.

Nice, Hey! Album is so good. I listened to it pretty much constantly while I was in Florida this past week.

The three albums they released are perfection - Butch's solo stuff branches into different genres, but is nonetheless, exceptional and wonderful stuff.

What's up?

I listened to one of his solo albums a few years back, I can't remember the title. It was one of the featured albums at B&N. It sounded pretty good, from what I could tell from the minute long clips. But then I kinda forgot all about it.

This is an old thread

but I love Marvelous 3
even if I didn't fully appreciate them when they were actually together.
B. Walker's solo stuff is also fantastic.
