What I recommend is the upcoming and growing band "We Are The Ocean" from Essex, England
they sound very very similar to Alexisonfire
trust me if you listen to the vocals you can compare it to a younger version of Dallas Green yes it is that distinguishable
go check it out!

Bit of a bump but I just wanted to say that I really enjoy these guys. Real similar to Alexisonfire but they've got a lot of potential.
And yeah, the guitarist's singing voice is beastly.

Yeah, on some bits they sound very similar to Alexisonfire, apart from that one intro that sounds like Nickleback or 3 Doors Down.

Do not rate this band at all. If they at least tried to do something different I'd have some respect for them.
Flood of Red, they are a better band.

I was a bit disappointed with some of their demos on their myspace if I'm honest, maybe cause An Hour Away was so good. But they are only demos!
It's good to see a good post hardcore band in the UK for a change

Yeah. I was disappointed in the first demo because I thought it needed a bit of screaming but there wasn't any, but other than that I was really impressed. Their old stuff was good, but there was only so far they could go with it... with the music they're playing now it allows them to be a bit more creative with their instruments and melodies.

WATO are really good, it's something the UK scenes, instead of bands with singers who can't sing trying to ape US emo (i'm looking at you youmeatSix and kids in glass houses)
it's not often you find bands in the underground trying to emulate bands such as alexisonfire. they all tend to go for grindcore or as aforementioned pop punk routes.
another band worth checking out are The Committed

Yeah, definatley, they put on an excellent show and are all around great guys too from the times I've met them.

You really think WATO are better than YMA6 or KIGH? Those two bands are possibly the best examples of Pop Punk/Pop Rock/Whateverthefuckyouwanttocallit the UK as a whole has to offer (The re-recorded version of Gossip aside, ofcourse) Similarities to Dallas Greens voice aside, WATO are awful. It's a shame, cause when they put up their first two real tracks, "Save Me! Said The Saviour" showed real promise but everything they've released since is boring as fuck.

Really? I've heard too many bands trying to emulate aof. That's my main problem with WATO, stop trying to be your heroes and be yourself.

Im so glad there's so much hate for this over-rated band. Maybe if ever they learnt to write a song that didnt suck balls I'd reconsider.

The only reason there is so much hype around this band is because they are 16!

Theyre not 16.

This band is okay, but they lost my interest so quickly. Not only do they have a sound that mirrors Alexisonfire, the moments where they aren't ripping them off, they're just another generic post-hardcore band.

Grindcore?
i might have got that link wrong. I'll get round to editing it asap
and yeah i think KIGH and Yma6 are awful. having had the displeasure of seeing both live, i can safely say neither of those vocalists can sing. but again it's just opinion

17 then.
I watched one of their music videos the other day, and every other frame was someone straightening their fringe! hah

Actually, one of them just turned 17 yesterday, two of them are 19, one of them is 20 and the other is 21. They are awesome dudes... fair enough they do sound similar to Alexis but they write music they love and they do well from it. Fair play.
