Ok, so most people are either talking about what cds or bands were either disappointing in 2003 or what cds or bands were "the best of '03." Which bands do you think were most suprising, not the greatest, but a band or CD that you were really pleased with that you thought you'd hate or didn't even want to try out?

Yeah, Count the Stars really suprised me with "Never Be Taken Alive." Too bad they're broken up now though :(

Yeah, I totally didn't expect "De-Loused" to be half as good as it turned out to be. And "You Come Before You" from Poison the Well was awesome. :)

I agree with The Mars Volta.... after I saw them in concert I thought the cd must be terrible...but I was wrong.

Oh, by the way...for those of you who said Count The Stars...check out the picture on their opening page (http://www.countthestars.com) and then check out this picture (http://www.cuyleravenue.com/picturearchive/iamalice/countthestars.jpg)

hahaha it means absolutely nothing....i forgot to say that the second picture was of my four friends doing a mock-emo cover photo. It just so happened to be in the same place CTS did (they came out of a town about 10 minutes from my house).

Me neither, after I saw them live with Taking Back Sunday I really really liked them. :)
