yea totally, all in the legs really and its pretty good now ive only missed like 2 and im a starter so i see a lot of action from the line but itd still be nice to sink those 2 i missed

ya i know what you mean. i wish i wasnt such a lazy ass this year (freshman year) or i would have played football and basketball. but i got piercings that i would have to take out (eyebrow and lip) and im not so sure i want to do that for a sport even though i love both.

yea i was gonna do soccer and i wouldve played like the whole game and stuff since they sucked and all my friends were on there that ive played with since like 3rd grade that i know im better than (even though that sounds all cocky and shit, but its just true yanno) but i just got all lazy and didnt feel like doing it. the fun got sucked out of it and it became work so i just said screw it and sat around all fall

Y'know, I've read through most of this conversation between two people, and in my town, we have almost the exact same problem, cept a little different. We have 3 guitarists around here, 2 who are into punk, 1 who is into punk yet at the same time, likes alot of old rock and such, and concentrates on playing that as well. Two bass guitarists around here, one whose into punk, is quite good, one who says he's into punk, and thinks he's good, but he isn't ... yet he's friends with the best guitarist around here, so ... yeh, it's messed up. Thought I'd share that for some reason.

we have like one bassist that im aware of, everyone i know has a guitar but can only play one song and the only time they practice or just play around with it is when im around them because they wanna act all guitar player-ish

Thats the way it was in my town. There were like 2 drummers, 1 bass player and an assload of shitty guitar players, and like, a few good singers. Things were pretty grim, me and my friends had a good band though, to bad we all had to move away, now I can't find anyone to play with.

wasnt your cousin playing bass, dood i'll effen play bass if you don't find one by the time i get mine...lol dood when im at tysons their roomate bryan could really teach u anything about guitar if you wanted to play and be vocals...hes been playing for like 25 years or 30 cant remember the guy effen is crazy, he used to play with RUSH or something he can't get mad solos or play anything you give him. He's been teaching me bass when im over there..

It takes years of practice to get to the point where you can play with a band. He himself said that hes only been playing bass for 5 days, about 5 hours each. Thats 30 hours dude. I played bass for 4 years before my first real venue show, and even now, Im not as skilled as Id like to be. And not to float my own boat, but Im a pretty damn good musician. I taught myself Piano in the 6th grade, and I can play mozart like nobodys fucking business. So the moral of the story is, is that you cant just join a band as soon as you get an instrument. Take time and practice, and do something special, dont be just another shitty high school band. God knows theres enough of those.

dude you really dont understand. we are just getting together to jam out. to have fun. we arent trying to be anything more than that as of right now. and its better to play as a whole and see what it sounds like (so you can catch whose off sort of easier) and then you can tell if someones off or what not. i just would rather be jamming out with 3 of my friends than sitting in my room singing alone. but thats just me.

yes i know that which is the reason im not in any bands or anything i barely get to play the bass and i spent 1 entire day at my friends house who plays drums,guitar, and bass and we played all day and all night for one day straight dood im effen addicted to playing and trust me if you knew the "band" chris is trying to put together that wont really go because Anish the guitarist is a bitch and never leaves his house and its not even close to finding people to play but its nice to know that when you actually think your ready to join a band that theres one open...I'm more really into DeadStar Assembly and Slayer and Slipknot for guitar but for bass it really wouldn't matter to me.
