no one's actually answering your question but i kind of get what you're saying. from my experience, i would just say that you probably don't really like them that much. and when i'm not into a guy, the more he tells me he likes me, the less i can stand him and i focus on the things that bug me about him even more. like one guy i was talking to off and on, he would text me and i would get so annoyed by his shitty grammar and spelling, but i'm sure if i actually liked him, it wouldn't have bothered me as much.

as for making out with him.. it's not really the same but i've been in situations where i can make out with a guy and feel nothing.. but then if he like holds my hand or something i get annoyed because it's just kind of like "wtf you're not my boyfriend.. don't act like it"
