I used the search function and all the other threads were either about Business or Fire The Cannons and mostly had 1 or no posts. So, here's the official thread.

Fire The Cannons is a really good album. I haven't been able to get over it, how much ever I over play it.

Discuss.

I listen to 'Run This City' a fair bit but never really got into anything else.

If I want to give them another try, which couple of songs do I want to look for?

Run This City's a good song. Other songs I particularly liked were Doctor, Please!, Picture Frames, Stepping Stone and Just Say How.

Though, all the songs on the album are pretty good, imo.

This band is way too catchy for me. I have them on my ipod, and once in a while, will listen to them in the car if I feel like singing along haha, but they stick in my head forever and I hate it.

Haha, I know what you mean, Courtney. The songs would randomly start playing in my head and not stop for like hours and hours. I put it on occasionally now (since it was my avy) to see if I can't listen to it anymore but I just can't help it haha. Too too catchy. I love it.

I've never heard but there was a lot of hype prior to the album dropping. Would I relatively enjoy this for what it is?

I don't think you would. Definitely not your type.

They're good pop punk.

Unrelated, but I checked out Gaslight Anthem. I like.

Fire the Cannons is still my favorite pop-punk CD of 2008. Followed closely by Teenage Bottlerocket's new album.

"Doctor, Please!" and "Just Say How" are the two that stick out to me. Truthfully, I'm a big fan of the entire disc. It was well-worth the wait.

Doctor, Please! is one of my favourite songs too. I didn't do any real waiting haha, but I do love this cd.

My mom has seen them live (haha). She said the guitarist is awesome.

Surprised this thread gets like no posts.

Saw them lat night for free. Thank you, AP. It was an amazing show, and they're all nice dudes. When I told Misha that I was the winner of this contest, he knew my name, which was cool. Then we had a conversation about bands and shows, and I'm seeing them with Matchbook Romance next month, which is a show that they're stoked to play. Then Matt came over and talked to me for a few minutes about shows, but it was hard to talk over music. Then my dad told Vlad how he loves his solos and loves that they do that since most bands don't. And then I talked to Dan for a few minutes, and told him it was a cool show. Great night. The band is amazing.

I've been listening to this album again lately, and have officially decided "The Bad Apples" and "Stepping Stone" are awesome songs. These guys have such potential to take off with the right label.

I really enjoy these guys. I had been listening to them a little bit, and then saw them at Warped last year, and that sealed the deal. Quite catchy, and I love their guitar work. Wasn't their next album one that Hoppus was looking to produce? I think I remember reading that somewhere.

This band could be huge. After yesterday, they are probably my favorite band. They're such nice dudes, and put on a great show.

These guys are awesome, the album was awesome. I can't wait for a new album or until I can see them live. So much talent for a band in this genre.

Edit: and Fit To Be Tied is such an awesome song.

I love Fire The Cannons, such a good album. Oddly enough, Keep This With You is probably my favorite off the album. I love their fast songs, but I really like when they slow it down.
I just rec'd this album to a friend yesterday, hopefully he likes it.

Three page thread? Are you kidding me?

Bump. Any new news for this awesome band? Fire the Cannons used to be my password for every account I had, lol.

EDIT: Had to check quickly if my ap.net account used the same password, hahahaha.
