Wasn't sure where else to post this, so I apologize up front if anyone gets pissed/annoyed.

I recently received a new iPod Nano from my work. I've never desired to have an iPod, but now that I have one for free - I plan to use it as much as possible. However, I despise iTunes. I installed it once on my PC and it took forever to import all of my MP3s, it was a major resource hog and I HATE the way it reads/sorts music. My OCD and iTunes clash in a major way.

What I am looking for is another Windows program that will allow me to synch up with the iPod and transfer music. I've done a little searching when I can - at work - and not come up with much. Can anyone here provide some suggestions? Any and all help is much appreciated.

you can use winAmp and mediamonkey,
but it almost works the same as iTunes

another option is Sharepod,
you have to install it on your ipod and then you
can use it as an USB-stick, unfortunatly it doesnt work
for all ipods but its free so you can try it :-D

*tried and it works for the iPod Nano 3th gen*

Thanks. I'm guessing you mean newer versions of Winamp. I have Winamp 2.x something and I don't think it supports synching with MP3 players. I'll check into it when I'm at home and look into MediaMonkey as well.

You know you can change the way it reads/sorts music. iTunes is an OCD's person's dream.

Tried that, but my iPod is way more advanced than my microwave. The microwave couldn't take it and gave up in the third round.

I have tried using Winamp before but I found it a hassle. It wouldnt not import some of my cd's and convert them properley so now I just used iTunes.
