Don't rip on HG, this band has been around forever. Everyone thinks they're just some shitty new band, but the fact is that they've been part of the underground scene since the early 1990s. When they first met New Found Glory, the NFG told them that they'd grown up listening to Home Grown. If you look at the liner notes for MxPx's older albums (Life in General for instance, circa 1996), Home Grown is one of the bands listed in the acknowlegements.

John from Homegrown can play guitar pretty well, he had some awesome solos back in the day(as evidence on Surfer Girl, the version on the cd That's Business.) Adam actually tries to play bass at least and doesn't always straight up follow what the rythem guitar is doing, so at least thats better than about half of pop-punk bands. So I wouldn't call them untalented, but if they aren't your thing thats cool.

Though I admit they aren't the greatest band ever, they are just a really fun band to listen to when your in a good mood. Nothing to deep, just poppy, but in the good way. Pop doesn't always have to be a negative thing.

I remember when I was in 3rd or 4th grade, I had a teacher who decided that he'd use reverse alphabetical order. Consequently, I was last in line for everything. This was especially annoying when it came to doing any sort of project, as I was stuck with the shitty, rusty, worn out, left handed safety scissors that no one else wanted. Much like the scissors, Homegrown is dull and they sure as hell don't cut it.
