[REC]

http://finissimo.com.br/cinema/wp-content/uploads/2007/12/rec_movie_poster2.jpg

While covering the night shift at a small-town fire department, an ambitious young television reporter (Manuela Velasco) and her cameraman follow the crew on a call to rescue an elderly woman(Matt Frew) trapped in her apartment. Upon their arrival at the scene, the calm midnight air is pierced by the sound of horrific screams, and the television report takes an unexpectedly dark turn.

Actors:
Manuela Velasco
Javier Botet
Manuel Bronchud

Language:
Spanish

I saw [REC] (IMDb (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1038988/)) last week in theaters, and I just didnt have any idea it would be a spanish movie. I admit I was close to leave the cinema ahaha. But as the story was being revelead I reconsidered.

I had never seen a spanish horror movie and I loved it. I wasnt really expecting such quality on filming and acting. I wont make any spoiler.

I dont know if this movie will be released in US, but have anyone of you heard about this movie?

By the way, Quarantine will be the american remake of this movie, although I advice you to watch REC first because for what I've heard Quarantine is not as good as REC.

I don't really get the big deal.

Also, is anyone else getting tired of the whole "Let's do this movie, but with regular people filming it" thing too?

Exactly. I will probably see the remake, but i think the original is way better. And the spanish actress is way hotter than the American one ahaha

But will it be released in DVD in the US?

I will look, I guess.
Is it a zombie movie?

Also, completely unrelated, Midnight Meat Train looks scary.

At first when you dont know the story behind it all, it may look a zombie movie. But it isnt. In fact, i hate zombie movies! Most of them are ridiculous.

Agreed, which is what turned me off this movie initially.
I'm doing research on the imdb boards as we speak!

If you dont wanna be spoilled I wouldnt advice you to do that. I did that after seeing the movie and they tell a lot of important things!

btw, that movie you were talking, Midnight Meat Train, looks good but theres still some months till it is released.

There is still some months, I'm just interested. I've never heard of anything Clive has done aside from the bigger series, I hear he's pretty messed up. I'm very curious.

As for [rec], I doubt I'll be able to watch it unless anybody knows if it's streaming online. I don't have a netflix or anything of the sort, and I'm sure it won't be released in Canada.

Its funny how americans cant stand the idea of a foreign movie actually being cool. They always have to do a remake.
