Least enjoyable experience: LOTR: ROTK (just the last 10 mins), where the movie ended, but didnt, then ended, but didn't, and on and on. By that time the theatre was warm, bordering on hot, starting to smell and my bladder was about to burst.

Both Jackass films were fucking awesome. Borat was cool. Superbad and and Snakes on a Plane were both completely outrageous midnight showings, just fucking insane.

But the most times I have seen a movie in a theatre was Anchorman, about 4-5 times.

Snakes on a Plane. Crowd was hilarious. You can go ahead and add Shoot 'Em Up, Grindhouse or any other cheesy low budgeted action movie. Always a blast to see in theaters

At my theater, the employees dressed up as flight attendants and gave everyone free popcorn and a small drink + fake SOAP flight safety manuals. There was a group of 4 people dressed up as an airplane and people were throwing rubber snakes everywhere the whole time. I think someone even attempted to bring a real snake in.

Although I hated the stupidity of some of my customers opening night, I would have loved to dress up.

It was really funny. Before the movie started, they spoke over a loud speaker saying like "Welcome passengers to Flight 187 blah blah blah...In case of an emergency, please notice your exits etc" all to match the movie haha. "If you see a snake, do not panic"

LOL!
If somebody brought a real snake, I would shit my pants.

Also, to whoever it was up there, I really wanted to see Shoot Em Up because I love movies that are purposely overdone, and it looked amazing.
But I've been warned off it by many people.

If I take pleasure from SOAP, would I like Shoot Em Up?

I really have not seen many good movies in theaters. I think I've seen three since the beginning of the year, of which Juno was the best.

Oh, was Shoot Em Up supposed to be like that? I guess I shouldn't have took it so seriously. I really hated that movie because of that as well. :-D

I love seeing huge, big budget blockbusters at midnight (Harry Potter, Star Wars, Transformers). Always a fun crowd. Dark Knight and Indy should both be fun.

Jurassic Park, for sure. I saw it at the theater about three times (more than any other movie), and after the first T-Rex attack, every time, I had to go piss. I think 'cause the T-Rex scared the piss out of me on that big screen in DTS - I never knew about the T-Rex chasing the car ("Must go faster") until I saw the movie at home.

Probably Grindhouse. Two films with the fake previews between was pretty amazing. I went on opening night so the crowd was great too.

there's a few that come to mind:

south park: bigger, longer and uncut - saw it opening night. everybody knew it'd be pretty outrageous, but i don't think anybody expected it to be as crazy or as good as it actually was. just an entire theater losing their shit the first time 'shut your fucking face uncle fucker' came on was a fucking blast. the entire time was just people busting out and enjoying it. it was fucking great.

transformers - saw it at the first showing of it, and it honestly felt like watching it with 300+ friends. people were yelling, clapping, and joking around, and it actually wasn't annoying for once. everybody at that showing was so pumped up and were all there for the same reason. it was just a cool experience.

and the blair witch project - again, saw it on opening night. the internet viral marketing thing wasn't as heavy as it is now, and you could tell half the theater wasn't sure if this was real or not. was a very tense, insanely quiet atmosphere. then when it ended, everybody just sat still for a bit, trying to wrap around what they just saw.

those three aren't my favorite movies by any means, but the best three theater experiences that come to mind off the top of my head.

aliens 4. Right before some guy gets killed... the film caught on fire...so we ended up getting free movie certificates after we waited for it to be fixed

and when street fighter came out. When I saw it it was just my brother, my father, and I in the entire theater. It was awesome!

The best experience, Star Wars Episode 1 at the age of nine (i think), truly magical.

Seeing Jurassic Park and Home Alone when I was a kid were both pretty fun experiences. Same with Independence Day because when it came out, I had no clue what is was going to be about.

My dad and I went to Austin Powers on a whim, and the only thing we knew was Mike Myers was in it. Little did we know how many times we'd bust out laughing (same with the sequel), so that was fun.

Yea Snakes on a Plane opening night was fun, definitely one of those movies that probably would've sucked any other way.

There's this sweet refurbished 1920's theater in downtown Champaign called The Virginia its got a mezzanine and an organ and all this ornate detailing, seeing anything there is a real treat.

Haha, I work at a DVD store and people always tell me how much they hated Shoot 'Em Up because of how cheesy it was. And I always just kind of say, "Yeah....it was supposed to be like that.."

Well, I have to say that the midnights for that last couple Harry Potter films have been pretty awesome. Just the fact that everyone dresses up and all that jazz and the crowd is so great.

Im going to be going to a lot more midnights this summer, so ill have more to add to the list

The Dark Knight
Indiana Jones
Hancock
Tropic Thunder
Wall-E

I absolutely love going to see movies on the opening night at midnight and waiting in line for a couple hours to get good seats. That is always fun.

Also Clovefield was fun as hell to see in theaters.

Cloverfield was fucking amazing to see in theatres.

Jackass 2 was ridiculously fun. Everyone was yelling and shit but it wasn't annoying because you were cringing as snakes were biting cocks, etc.

Snakes on a Plane. Crowd was hilarious.
Yes! We went to the first screening in our city, so everyone there was super excited. My friends and I made shirts just for the occasion, and brought rubber snakes. The entire crowd cheered and applauded during the opening credits and went crazy when the title appeared on screen, and every reaction to the movie was so over the top. So much fun, haha.
