Yeah so after 10+ years of taking tests, studying, and stupid papers, im finally walk the plank on may 17th. although im very excited. im also very nervous as their is no transition period. im out in the real world to find a job and its scary. I pretty much know what i want to do. music and film and graphic design are my key areas of passion so i am gonna search for a job in those fields in either boston or nyc. but damn its stressful. is anyone else in the same boat come this May?

any luck with the job hunting yet?
i'll be in your shoes next semester, but my bf went through the whole transition last yr.
I walk on Saturday, but I finished up a semester early in December. My transition was way too easy because I got lucky and was hired from my internship. This position is not where I really saw myself but most entry level jobs aren't going to be exactly what you wanted. I was more focused on just finding a company I fit at and getting some experience.

I am graduating in December. I am also experiencing the same issues. I have no idea what I'm going to do. I think I'm going to engage in a transnational bike ride.

I was graduating in May until the school decided to review my transfer credits about a month and a half ago and deemed that one class that had previously transfered no longer does. It didn't kill any job opportunities because I intended to do volunteer work but now I have to either do summer school or come back for a semester and take my one class. They are allowing me to take part in commencement week and the commencement ceremony but I am still so incredibly furious that they chose to wait this long to tell me. But I guess in the glass half full aspect if I do come back for a semester I can take graduate courses and be a kid for another six months.

I can sort of relate. I'm about a week from finishing my freshman year of college. It's very strange to imagine that three years from now I won't be in school (unless I go to grad school). It's kind of scary actually. I'm also in the process of transfering though, so who knows how long I'll end up in school depending on my credits.
Best of luck to you, though.

I just saw my cousin graduate and she's in the same boat as you. I'm a year away and I'm starting to worry about what I'm going to do, right now I'm looking to go to grad school, that'll put off the real world for another 2 years..
good luck!
knowing you never have to go back to school is a good feeling.

I took two years off from college, so I won't be graduating for awhile. :-(
I'm graduating on the 18th and i have a couple of job interviews in financial advising coming up in July, but i really want to bike across the US and try to raise money for cancer research...interested Smegma?

I would have been if I hadn't switched majors. Now I'm a year behind.

I'm going to Boston this weekend to watch my sister graduate. It's weird how quickly you grow up and get thrown into the real world.
