this is basically just a reasoning for why i cant get with this new girl...... the time (hours, mins, secs) is my past relationships. starting out slow then building up quickly to a point where i fall in this darkness (depression, loneliness, and hurt)... and the flame is love. and im just saying that i cant handle anyone's love right now. im not ready for it. it would hurt me more than help me. so i tell the girl that maybe her love should wait until better days come my way and i recover from my past. then maybe i'll allow her the opportunity to love me. but im physically incapable at this point.
These are the last hours.
Seconds pile up to minutes.
Stacking.
Higher and higher.
Finally, the end is near.
All goes quiet... all is dark.
Lonely.
Blackness and darkness
are what surround us.
A flame would hurt me.
Both my touch and eyes.
For I do not believe I could handle
the flame you give off.
So contain this flame.
Save it for when the darkness rises.
And is lifted by the brightness
of better days.
Maybe then you can let it shine.
Maybe then you can light my life.
