I wrote a synth pop song. And I know you want to listen to the first 45 seconds of it.
This really isn't self promotion. I don't know what I'd be promoting. But if a mod wants to move it. eh.

Holy fucking ass shit. That was amazing.

Seriously. I REALLY liked that. I'm listening to it for like the 8th time in a row now. It's got crazy synth stuff in it and I love the guitar work. Brilliant.

Really, amazing job.

I liked em both a lot. The first one kinda made me think of the Cure... Not that you're as good as the Cure (sorry to disappoint you ;) ) but it was just reminiscant of it.

HOLY SHIT! That's amazing.

When I heard the first version, I was mildly impressed, but I am astounded by the full version. That's great. Is that you singing? Is that also you on the keyboard and guitar? Who's doing the choir voices?

I want you to tell me how you put together the whole project. Did you record each part seperately and mix them on the computer? What kind of recording equipment do you have (microphones, etc)? I want you to tell me because I hope to record my own music eventually and I want to get a heads up on how to do it.

Hey, thank you. Actually the whole thing isn't complicated or anything. It's just a song I wrote on acoustic guitar a while back, and then when I got my keyboard I was fooling around with making stuff to fit the guitar part. I put down the electric drum beat and then I played one keyboard part to it, then I played guitar, then I added several other keyboard tracks. Then my friend Melanie (she is the bassist/vocalist in our band.. but this really isn't our "band's music", this is just fooling around) sang the vocals on the verses. I sang the choruses and then we added a few harmonies together and put goofy effects on everything. I used Magix Audio Studio 7 to put everything together.. and we just used the computer microphone. For the keyboard parts though, I plugged it straight into my line-in on the computer.
I don't know a lot about recording though, so you probably don't want to ask me for much advice!
