Bamboozle '08 review

First i'll say that sunday kicked the shit out of saturday.

However,
Saturday
Our last night- Surprisingly sounded awesome. They messed up on one of their songs but recovered nicely, haha. Props to the youngin who can scream like crazy. And the singer sounds almost identical to their recordings which is pleasant.
Chiodos- sounded awesome but Craig's hair looks dumb. I hope to get on that dvd haha.
pepper- was never really a fan, but saw most of their set before chiodos played and they were real entertaining and sounded good. a lot like sublime.
adtr- awesome. never thought i'd see pits to kelly clarkson
drop dead gorgeous- terrible, again. (sucked at warped last year too)
lydia- amazing sound.
tdwp- awesome set awesome crowd
sky eats airplane- not bad
& ben from armor for sleep sounded like shit, so i was disappointed.

Sunday
Foxy Shazam- them alone was worth my $60 and my favorite performance all weekend. eric(frontman) is quite possibly the most entertaining and off the wall craziset person ive ever met and watched on stage. Just amazing.
Circa- never seen them play bad. crowd was very into it as usual.
the academy is- sounded good
automatic love letter- didnt go to see them but heard them while waiting for foxy, and they're terrible.
the fall of troy- oooooooooh amazing. them and foxy. top two of the weekend. New bassist is a lovely addition to the family.
treos- awesome. rip </3 and so glad to see casey come back out for their last performance.
dear hunter- amazing sound. just real awesome
Say anything- i for some reason didn't expect them to sound as good as they did. And was really happy they closed with admit it. That was cool.
& the banner- don't really listen to them but watched their set and saw pits the size of canada.

over all sweet weekend.
got some sweet sunburn on my face

but if you're referring to circa, chiodos, tfot or foxy i wouldn't mind kicking you.

Circa is the only band on that list I like. Other ones are whats wrong with music today, specially foxy shazam. I had to sit through them because of the proximity factor.

Fall of Troy is not whats wrong with music today. Other wise I think Fall of Troy and maybe Circa Survive were the only band I might see out of that list.

eh everyone has their own opinion i guess.
foxy is just incredibly different and has their own unique sound and way of performing.
its something different for once.
rather than half these bands that are all starting to sound the same.
tfot too, they have a very distinct sound and bring a shit load of energy to the stage.

ahhh
you should most definately go see them when you get a chance. they put on a flawless performance and have so much energy.
i saw them once with the old bassist and i think the new guy is much better, because now thom doesnt have to do all the screaming.
im not entirely sure about the old bassist..
my bf told me but i don't remember the full story.

something like.. he was just losing commitment and smokin it up too much i think..

who was your favorites?

chiodos and the fall of troy were some of my favorite performances. they both were very good.
circa survive had an amazing crowd and i thought they played very well.
pepper was surprisingly good, i enjoyed them.
i didn't get to see a day to remember because i was getting sick but i could hear them and from what i heard i thought they were really good.
