Hey, what's that site where the whole term of 'emo' is perceived and explained? It's been posted here a few times, I need to know what it is so a friend can see what it actually is, it's too fucking hard to explain.

I used to have a site like that, don't anymore. I also had one that was like an instruction manual "how to be emo"...it was great "when at concerts, stand far away from the mosh pit with your arms crossed and act completely uninterested in the music. DO NOT SING ALONG! show no emotion (other than grief/sadness) and lightly clap when the set is done"...hahaha. woo.

Probably not what you're looking for but I did a google search and found this:

Thanks, that article helped a little bit ... it's not the site I was looking for, it's an actual website solely based on one topic with a www.

Thanks again.

Go to yahoo.com and type in 'Emo' and look around...one of the results will really explain what emo is...a year or so ago when I was confused because two completely different styles were called "emo" I read it..it helped. But I still dont understand why this recent invasion got coined "emo" well I do because short for emotional but still its nothing like real emo.

according to the book Nothing Feels Good:

Emo: e-mo 1. a much-maligned, mocked, and misunderstood term for melodic, expressive, and confessional punk rock.

Tell your friend to go to www.fourfa.com

I'm not sure if its exactly what you are looking for, but it is definitely an interesting site if you want to become more knowledgable about the emo genre and all of its quirks. You'll get the history, the influential records, and the major pahses the genre has gone through. Good stuff.
