As for knifeparty. Well, i'm sure you know Bill (pweredbyboredom). He started the website www.knifeparty.com and basically all the old AP regulars went over there. It's another site like AP, an online zine, but they like it much better. I'm still all for AP, but check it out if you want.

Absolute Punk is way better than Knife Party, all Knife Party is is the first bunch of AP assholes. It's better here, trust me, unless you have a grudge against Tate, then you'll get along just fine with the bunch that float around there.

Yah, I reccomend staying at AP. People at KP will jump down your throat for the smallest little comments. The majority of them are major hypocrites.

I like it over there to some extent. The people are truly jackasses. They are mean to everyone. Unless you are cool. Let's take an example:

But it's the fact that, sometimes, you take things way too far. For example ... Jason Tate. What the fuck do you have against him? And, to my understanding, those people were the ones that went to Knife Party. I have nothing against the forums at Knife Party, I've talked to a few of the members on MSN, and I go there sometimes when Absolute Punk is slow.

When I say assholes, I'm referring to the comments that some of them made over here at AP way back when KP first started and they were leaving. It wasn't necessary for them to start making stupid comments, banning people unnecessarily, and getting banned themselves for a fun time. I like to have fun on forums, but when it gets out of hand like that situation did, then I get opinionated and think that those people were acting as assholes. I have nothing against Knife Party, in fact, I'm there right now.

Also, you must have read wrong. In the last while, no I did not say anything like that. I strongly think AP is a better site, with better people. What I said, is that KP has a better end of the year awards feature, because it is better than the one Jason made up. Does that mean I think KP is better than AP ? Nope.

Yes, a bunch of people (most of them, infact) are assholes. Very few of them are even remotely nice. If you aren't in the little clique that i've come to know so well at KP, then there really isn't a point of posting at all. Every post you make, you'll get insulted for it. Every opinion you share, you'll get shut down for it. And lastly, at least once a day you'll be told you have the worst musical taste. The people at KP are under the impression that they define 'good music'. Lastly, even after you have called me a 'tool' (how creative of you), you are still one of the very (and I stress this word alot here) few people who are nice enough to actually get along with.

This is really stupid. Brandon I feel as though you are a hypocrite at times. And yeah, every forum will have it's asshole or two or three but really KP isn't as bad as you make it. I was scared to post there at first but then I realized there's no reason to be, they're just everyone I used to talk to at AP. People should listen to your opinion but they have to remember that you did do something messed up that made us not trust you and all that other stuff. It's just a forum, and even if most of them are assholes like you claim it really shouldn't affect you personally.

I think the real difference between AP and KP is that KP is more like a family, everyone knows eachother. Here on AP there are small groups and then tons of random posters.

So if you're curious about KP, join. Don't just go read the threads, contribute. If you get bitched at everytime you post then don't anymore. easy as that.

one major reason that people think KP is full of assholes and whatnot is because of how many people come back for a day and totally trash the place on how it sucks ass and stuff. All they do is preach on how mars volta is the greatest band to ever live, how tates an asshole, or start some pointless argument, which totally makes the newer-ish members here think that place is full of jerks.

oh and i can understand how it has a "clique" or is more like a family than AP, since it started out relatively not too too long ago things like that are gonna happen. its like that at Killjoy too except the members there wont give you as much crap for screwing up. all you have to do is stay for a day or two and youll be accepted by the group quickly. The "clique" he refers to consists of everyone on staff. That's it. I think it's good that our staff is this together, we work harder and communicate much better this way.
