kazaa or soulseek?

i was just wondering which of the two i should download. I had kazaa but i got rid of it when everyone was getting sued because i had a shitload of mp3's. But now i'm gonna start downloading again, and i was wondering which one i should use?

Kazaa is better for the more popular stuff i'd say (although you can find most stuff on it) and then Soulseek is better for more rare hard to find stuff. But, your best bet is to have them both.

I don't know to much about Soulseek and getting sued, but if you were to have a lot of files and use Kazaa and share them, then you might wanna either stop sharing them (turn of sharing files) or take them out of your shared folder (I just do this because then you don't have a low participation thing, and I think that helps you find more files; not to sure though...)...

I wouldn't call Kazaa 100% safe.

But Kazaa Lite and Soulseek are.

kazaa lite, but lately i've been downloadin new songs and some of them are all whacked up..i downloaded a few songs and it'd play 10 seconds of it then it'd go into this ear-peircing noise....still go with kazaa lite though..

you don't have to pay for either of them.

kazaa lite has no spyware or anything, so you don't get any advertisements and stuff.

yeap. those are watermarked mp3's. the record labels do that to ensure nobody can download the songs in their proper versions before the albums hit stores.

kazaa lite is basically kazaa without all the spyware that messes up your computer, plus I think that your user name is hidden, but you can still download the same stuff.

You have to have good searching skills to find it, because the easy link (kazaalite.tk) got shut down by Sharman, so basically it isn't allowed for download, but there's places out there where you can get, just do a google search.

i have kazaa lite and it is awesome, ive tried soulseek and got a lot of results but it wouldnt download and if it did it did so very slowly. could someone post a good site for kazaa lite, i have it but whenever i try to guide my friends to download it i can never find the site that i got it from. ok well see ya.

I use Blubster for more popular stuff and Soulseek for rare stuff. Kazaa has a weak selection and I often dont even get results for some of the bands I want, or it's really crappy quality and/or mis-labelled song.
