After touring on and off for the majority of his early 20's, Erich Skelton decided to put down the acoustic guitar and trade in his solo singer/song-writer past for a more expanded experience. He needed a fuller sound. He needed more options. He needed better.

Enter Brandon Kean, Colin Brown and Patrick Davis. Marry a Thief. Columbia, SC's answer to an epidemic of music acts lacking substance, melodies and honesty.

Picking up where Erich left off, the pop-rock quartet released an EP independently in March of 2008 entitled "I am dying to outlive you," which boasts 7 singable tunes that have often been compared lightly to the works of artists such as The Fray and The Format.

charleston is one of my favorite cities. my girlfriend went to school there. needless to say, i've spent lots and lots of time wandering through downtown. Sushi Hiro on King Street is insanely good. I reccomend the Udon and Shrimp Tempura rolls. :) We're going to play Charleston within the next few weeks (atleast, that's the plan.) The Village Tavern maybe. Maybe Cumberlands. who knows.

So I've had 24 hours to listen to and relisten to and analyze this "Every Little Star" recording, and, somehow, it's grown on me. I didn't think that could happen, because that song is so fucking good, and I noticed that immediately the FIRST time. You guys MUST play in New York this fall when I have the money to hit a show. Please. Haha, I know that's a lot to ask of a band just getting on its feet, but I really need to see these songs live.
