True there is a Horror thread here but it doesnt get that much activity and i am really looking for some feedback here...Has anyone seen any real disturbing movies that just got to you? like seriously made u feel fucked up for watching it?
to give some examples...Inside and Funny Games did it for me. Inside is about a pregnant woman that gets held hostage in her own house by a sadistic woman that wants to forcably remove the baby from her stomach...and eventually does.
Funny games is about 2 guys that kidnap a family in their own home and drain them of all hope to escape and ultimately kill every family without any hesistation.
So i guess what im looking for is a twisted story line or plot that is so horrible but yet very realistic. give some titles and plots if ya can.

Funny, in the other thread someone posted precisely what I was thinking.
Oldboy,High Tension or Audition
Great movie and it does not make you feel very good after watching it.
The old lady is what got me most.
Have you seen Trainspotting? It's not macabre, but it gives some insight on heroine addiction.
I saw the first two minutes. I definitely plan on it watching the whole way through, though. I've only heard good things about it.

Two of my friends got high right after we finished watching it. I don't understand. Wouldn't watching that movie make you not want to do drugs ever again?

Inside was pretty grusome, but if you want disturbing, you need to watch Italian horror. They don't get censored as bad over there as we do here in America. One movie that will make you change your mind about horror is Cannibal Holucaust. There are others but I will let all you netfliks people rent that and tell me what you think. I think they do eat real things in that movie, but who knows.

i think this will be the last horror movie related threat now that i am getting some feedback...but those are the only two that have really "bothered" me. reason being i have a kid and couldnt imagine something like that happening when my girl was pregnant.
horror movies just dont really get to me i look at the gore as "wow great special effects" but thats about it i never really got bothered like that before.
if the woman in Inside wasnt pregnant i wouldnt be sayin all this...or if there was no little kid in funny games.
also, what year was the audition made? i IMDB'd it and there are like 8.

Irreversible is suppose to be really disturbing because of it's rape scene and an intense killing with a fire extinguisher.

Hard Candy is a fucked up movie.
haha yes that movie was pretty twisted...i wish she actually did remove his balls and not fake it. then the movie would have been taken to another level. it seemed too much of the plot and on-screen time revolved around her preparing to do it then it was faked? booooo!!!

good movie yes... but i find it hard to feel sorry for people who cause their own problems. and as far as being "powerful"..it was one of the most incoherent films i have seen, besides "the machinist" with Christian Bale.

So a girl being raped by some monster (that's what I'm calling them) and the other one is holding the baby while their father is being burned on a tree isn't disturbing? I'm 4 years older than you and even I find that disturbing.
Sure its disturbing, but compared with other films, it's not really that disturbing.

Along with Inside, I have been watching most of the Dimension Extreme movies, which includes, Teeth, Inside, Storm Warning, etc. for independent films they are pretty good. For anyone that likes Zombie movies, check out Automaton Transformation. Compared to a lot of low budget zombie films this is good. Also a zombie rips out a girls fetus and eats it, pretty grusome.
Also I just thought of Dead Alive, which was directed by the director of Lord of the Rings. YOu would have never guessed he did a horror film. And also...it has been awhile, but The Dentist makes people not want to go to the dentist anymore.

once you see the film and actually understand their intentions it does make sense... michael pitt talks to the camera a few times and makes it known that they will be killed...its almost inevitable, once something happends to where his plan was changed, he re-winds to make things go according to plan. i guess its another way of showing there was NOTHING the family could do to escape their fate made my the two men
EDIT: Michael Pitt is one of the two killers.

I cant believe no one has mentioned this, but Im pretty sure that Kids is the most disturbing movie I have ever seen. Its full of teenagers and awkward sex scenes, violence, rape, std's, drugs, etc. I watched it by myself and it made me extremely uncomfortable, I couldnt imagine sitting there and watching it with a group of people, even if they were my best friends. And by time the movie was over I was absolutely convinced that I needed to go get tested. Anytime I hear someone say that they think they will never get an STD I tell them to watch Kids because it might scare them enough to save their life and the lives of whoever they are banging.

ok i just watched Cannibal Holocaust and i must say it was a crock of shit....WAY too overhyped. the best part was when the blonde guy got his dick chopped off then (very realically) dismembers with some crude axes/mallets, all the animal violence was a little dumb and obviously done for the gross-out factor other than that the story sucked...NOTHING was as graphic as other reviews have mentioned. You want to see an overly violent movie go watch Inside...a french film that does a good job with the realism and doesnt have to use crappy camera's and color effects to hide the fakeness.
so i give this movie a 2/10 as if it matters...it only got the 2 cuz there hasnt ever been animal cruelty like that in a film and the mentioned spoiler part helped out a little.
all of these websites that call this film "most disturbing" should be disemboweled themselves, there is a stupid disclaimer at the beginning that makes the movie look VERY VERY fucked up but in reality is not.
