I don't know if there was a thread like this already....but who thinks that purevolume is way better than what mp3 was?
I mean everything is setup to be very easy and more accessible.

Not me.
You can't download songs, you can only stream them. That is a major disadvantage. MP3 holds the legend down solid.
Ya, MP3.com was better since they allowed you to download and stream songs. Purevolume is still pretty cool though.

You know that is true but at least streaming songs is very easy on purevolume. The player is right on the artist's page.

Ya, I agree Mp3.com was an awesome site because you could download and stream (plus they had really big artists), but Purevolume is an awesome site to stream songs on....Sounclick (I think it is) is the best site right now proably to download songs off of....

MP3.com is still the best, and they're probably never will be any better. You all know it. PureVolume is the next best thing, yes, I won't deny that.

If purevolume had the same streaming ability of MP3.com they'd be better but purevolume has potential..

Downloading kicked ass on mp3.com but the streaming sucked in my opinion. Dude streaming is too easy on purevolume, it's just a matter of selecting the song you want to hear which loads on the player in mere seconds.

I agree, the streaming on PureVolume is excellent, and the site layout is good too. But, I can't go back on what I say about mp3.com, because it will remain as the site that I could download music from consistently.

my bands stuff was on both, and i like pure better because the layout is much improved and the mp3.com layout had bugs in it

I was wondering if I was the only one that knew about all the bugs...

For me, purevolume is much better. My band is getting more hits/listens out of it and I signed up for the extra stuff which I never did on mp3.com.
mp3.com was great in its time, but towards the end it just didn't work.

you CAN download songs, as long as the band allows it. instead of just playing it on the front page, click on the music button, and next to the song it will say (download) and click it to download. if it doesnt say download next to it, well then, you cant download.
and to answer the original question.....i think it's better in its own ways. i like the fact that its easily accesible, better than mp3.com, but i still miss mp3.com and all the bands that were on it.

PureVolume is really good but it doesn't have any charts like mp3.com.
