Bowling for Soup

These guys blows! I have a friend that let me listen to their cd "Drunk Enough to Dance" It was so bad. Like nails on a chalkboard bad. How do people talk about what bands sound too poppy without mentioning these guys? Are their old cds better or something?

Yeah. But you're right. They are unbelievably poppy, and aren't a very talented band or anything at all..it's just fun to listen to when you're in a good mood and stuff. For me anyways.

I think people don't mention them in the "too poppy" group because they just don't care. If someone asked me to name all punk bands I know....I think I'd say Good Charlotte before Bowling For Soup crossed my mind. I don't think that makes sense...but it almost does.

I've never actually listened to them, but at Warped Tour I was wearing my "Don't Mess with Texas" shirt, and two of the guys from the band ran up to me and gave me one of their pins with the Texas flag on it. I know you all care and it was snazzy.

I don't have a problem with them. I won't buy their cd or anything but i think they are alright. Like the other guy said, "they're fun"

they just make some catchy pop-rock tunes...leave them be. They also sorta mock all the punk bands out there (and themselves to an extent) in "punk rock 101"...I'd put em in the pop punk category like simple plan and good charlotte...and that's not a bad thing.

Yes. I remember watching it. And when they came to their nomination, everybody was like "who the hell is bowling for soup?"
