We never did end up getting through the entire line-up, and I liked these threads, so here we go.

I second the Jeff Blauser notion.

I wish I could appreciate what Ozzie did, but I was too young and wasn't into baseball yet.

I don't really have a favorite. Cal Ripken might be a good choice.

I throw sidearm because I learned to throw from this guy.

beat me to it. Loved this guy when he was with the Angels. When he became an analyst for the Sox, it was like Christmas came early.

#2 would be O-Cab, merely for the impact he had in 2004.

I'm suspicious that Valentin was on 'roids, knowing what we know about the era now.

and am I the only Sox fan who never really liked Nomar? I liked him when he was coming up and just got to the big leagues, but it didnt take long for him to show how much of a douche he was.

Valentin is a fellow Pirate alum, i gotta like him. i was in boston for the weekend of the game he made the unassisted triple play but my dad decided against going that particular night. oops.

that one game against the yankees always bothered me, but i still thought nomar was awesome. just always got hurt.

Even though I'm a Mets and Rays fan, Walt Weiss has been a chill shortstop. And probably Nomar.
