Not sure how many people even care as the "Family Guy" cool status seems to have dropped, but it looks like Seth MacFarlane is creating another show that will sadly just steal from it's predecessor. Like "American Dad!" (while not a spin-off has many similarities), do you think "The Cleveland Show" will stand a chance? I for one have my doubts. While I enjoy Cleveland as a secondary character, a main character might be rough. Also, I fear that it will just be a recycled version of "Family Guy".

Cleveland doesn't seem like the character to carry his own show, but then again ... he is the most likable for a long period of time (even though Quagmire still makes me laugh). The problem with Seth MacFarlane's work is he tries fitting too much obscurity into the show and it never works right. It feels forced and uncomfortable - frankly, I don't even find the old episodes of Family Guy to be very funny anymore; the jokes wear off quickly, and American Dad is worse - the jokes fall flat and the characters are dull.
So the chances of this spin-off seem low. He really hasn't made a comeback in my eyes, and I don't know how many times he can retread the same material.

I don't think this spinoff will be any good. It just seems so pointless to me and I don't think Cleveland can hold up a show on his own. I probably won't be watching it.

I pretty much agree with the Cleveland being unable to hold his show, but I still love the old episodes. I still enjoy the new ones, just not nearly as much as before. But I think you're right. I'll probably watch the first couple episodes to give it a chance, but if you look at the family in the promo pic, it's the same setup as FG, Older girl, Fat middle child, and baby that has a big head.

Cleveland had a kid already. So what, the kid mysteriously disappeared, but he is now back as some sort of retarded black Stewie? Am I too assume that he found Ponce DeLeon's fountain of youth and regressed to a baby again? Awesome. And bears for neighbors! How hilarious! Oh, Seth Macfarlane, you definitely haven't lost it at all!

Seth MacFarlane hasn't been funny for years, and I really don't see this show lasting more than one season; if that.

I would probably watch it but I dont know how well it will due,Family Guy to me is still better then South Park by a long shot but afterwhile re-runs can only due so much for you when it comes to that show plus I dont know if anyone really even watches American Dad,I do ocassionally but not alot,I see the show lasting maybe 2 seasons but put into different time slots to see which one works better.

I just heard the theme song on IGN. I can't wait, Cleveland is one of my favorite characters. His voice is just so hilarious.
Cleveland can barely make me laugh with one-liners, how the fuck is he going to carry a 22 minute show?
Give it to Quagmire or Adam West, or even the pervy old dude. Anyone but Cleveland.

Premise: Peter Griffin's buddy Cleveland moves to Stoolbend, VA with his son, his high school sweetheart Donna and her daughter. The wacky neighbors include a loudmouth redneck couple, a British family seemingly stuck in the Victorian era and a family of bears in this "Family Guy" spin-off.
Wacky? WACKY? Its 2008, don't fucking use the word "wacky."

I love family guy but this show will fail, and I think people will lose respect for Family guy because of this show.

You are soooo far off base its not even funny, Family guy being better than South Park? Really? Just no, and I actually like Family guy, but its not even close.
