Rap is for black people.
But Eminem is pretty ill.
1. "Rap is for black people" is one of the most stupid and ignorant things you can say.
2. Hating rap and saying "eminem is pretty ill" makes you a moron.
3. You have a Ted Nugent avatar.
4. You have "AC/DC" written for your user-title.
5. In your profile you say you enjoy going to metal shows, and then compliment Nickelback.

well I think that white boys//girls cant rap. so there is no "best" white rap artist. because I have never seen a good one forever. but vinilla ice was the first rap artist that was white ever. Than eminem tried to take his spot of fame and he did for a while but there is only so much that one person could say about how much he hates his mom and how horrible he was brought up. it gets old and so does eminem. to me i think there is no "Favorite white rapper." I believe eminem was all complaining and thats it no talent.

Agreed. Sage Francis gets grating after a while.
Atmosphere, Kanye West and Sage Francis fall into this trifecta of "suburban/alt white kid-approved" brand of "alternative hip hop" that is catchy/pop enough to be accessible to the masses, but ultimately, if you look at it, it stems from (in regards to West and Francis) the fact that they're non-threatening black men who aren't militant on speaking about the social oppression and disillusionment of the plight of the black man as they are egocentric, self-aggrandizing lyrics and bids for this pseudo-hipsterista, bohemian pre-gentrification feel. They also focus on the beat over the rhyme. Atmosphere, being the "faux-underground alternative to Eminem" is beloved by white people for that very reason - they're the slightly more obscure, indie 'great white rapper.'
That isn't to say that the three of them aren't talented, but they're more of a gateway into real alt-hip hop and underground hip hop. You start with one (or all) of these acts, then slowly move on to more meaningful acts, ala' Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Hi-Tek, Mikah 9, The Roots, A Tribe Called Quest, Jurassic 5, Dead Prez, De La Soul, etc.

i'm not saying eminem is the be all end all of rap or hip hop. i'm aware there are much better MC's out there who drop better beats. what i'm saying is for a mainstream rap album, em's first 2 records are fantastic. especially marshal mathers LP.

Sage Francis is poppy enough? Thats a new one.
Dead Prez, ATCQ, and Jurassic 5 should not be on that list. Dead Prez is faux revolutionary bullshit, ATCQ were an amazing band and one of my favorites, but lyrically they rarely had a message, and Jurassic 5 should be up there with Kanye and Atmosphere.

Lupe and Sage are really different.
I didn't like his new album, but Lupe isn't that bad. I think people have blown him up to be much better then he is though.
The only thing you can really say about Sage is that he has that same problem that Aesop has... aka the "What the fuck is he talking about" dilemma, though of course his is nowhere near as bad as Aesop.

Most people complain about how Aesop's lyrics are a little dense and hard to follow, but that's why I love him. He creates a unique mix of words and tones that generally just sounds good together. And you can always pick out small little meanings in his lyrics. His earlier albums feature lyrics that you can understand a bit better, with Bazooka Tooth being the worst of his albums, imo.

I fucking hate mainstream rap but i listen to tons of underground.
Hiphop always comes second to rock though, of course.

Apathy?
aka Chad Bromley, Apathy is a white MC from CT who leads the Demigodz crew.
He has a sharp wit and spits some great rhymes. He shits over most white MC's.
