alright. i dont know if its cool or not cool to try in school, but i really am just having trouble caring anymore. its so hard. school is getting out of hand for me. too many deadlines, and not enough time. its all overwhelming. ive completly stopped doing most of my work and paying attetion and then i stay up late and night trying to get caught up. i like doing good in school, but its just getting too hard to care. does anyone else feel like this?

I use to feel like that all the time. And would stay up late at night doing work too. But believe me, once you are all done with all that stuff and leave. You'll be happy that you stuck to it.

you've just gotta learn how to prioritize... and look at the big picture. think about what you want in the future, and then rearrange your life according to that. it's easy to blow school off when you're not thinking about how it'll affect you later on..
i wish i had studied more in high school, because college right now is really kicking my ass. i have no study skills, no student ethic. i cram before every test and i barely make my scholarship requirements.. it shouldn't have to be like this.
now i'm on the verge of losing my national merit scholarship.. and if i had just prioritized last semester, and paid attention to going to classes instead of whose party i was going to that night, i wouldn't be in this predicament..

sorry if i'm being a little preachy, but it's just that i've been in the same boat.. it's not worth it.

Ya, you just gotta learn to prioritize, organize, and stick with it.

Right now I'm in my junior year of high school and it's hard. With everything that I want to do and what I have to do, I just have to think about what's really going to affect me in the long run.

I'm holding A's and B's right now, and it's hard to keep em up, but I'm doing it. I have to the time to do the things that I want to do and do the things I need to do...It's all about organizing your time better.

I hope you stick with it dude...It'll help you out later on (even if you don't think it will now).

its not easy when you change your school three times in a year, and you know no one at all every time you do that.

I used to be a straight A student. I never got any C's. The worst I'd get was a B. But somehow that changed 2 years ago. I kinda lost interest in school out of the blue and I just don't like it anymore. But yeah I think its probably cause I've been changing schools so often (cause I've moved), and I know like no one every time I go to a new school (obviously) and that's like ...or well it was new to me since I always had a ton of friends and stuff. Its just hard to adjust to a big change like that. well for me anyway. And yeah its not that I hate school but I don't know... really don't know what happened to me. but it sucks.

I do absolutley nothing in school and I still get decent grades, I swear to god in the last 2 years I have not done one homework assignment at home or studied for one test (minus finals) but this last semester I didnt study for finals and I did much better...coincidence? nah.

I am a master procrastinator and slacker in the worst way. The problem is, I get away with it. I get good grades, and I always seem to get things done the second before I need to. Its bad, because I know someday its going to kick me in the ass. I barely ever study, I rarely do homework at home, ect. The funny thing is, all of my friends are psycho scholars because I'm in all honors and AP classes.

I know exactly how you feel. I arrived half an hour late for one of my AP tests last year. And I barely passed with a 3. And now I'm in some dual credit classes and I always end up doing the assignment the night before. Yet I still manage to pass with B's and A's.

Lazy minds think and act alike. :approve:

No really though, I feel bad about my poor study habbits... If it didn't seem to always work out I might make an effort to change, but...meh.

Try a study group. If others are relying on you to come through in some way (such as study to be prepared for the group or to do a certain part of an assignment) it might give you more motivation to try.
