Drive-Thru Records (http://www.drivethrurecords.com) has signed Jenoah. They have a flash intro on the DTR site offically welcoming them to the label, and will have a downloadable ep on the DTR site sometime in February.

Who?
My guess is...shitty pop punk with a screamer who lists their influences as Jimmy Eat World, Glassjaw, and Dashboard Confessional

I'm actually really surprised about this, because with the last signing, (Hidden In Plain View) I knew about it months before Drive-Thru announced it.
You can hear part of one of their songs on the Drive-Thru splash screen. I'm glad to hear that it's a nice departure from Drive-Thru as of late (HIPV, Senses Fail, TEN), and perhaps Drive-Thru is heading back towards their pop-punk roots (Fenix, NFG, Allister). What I'm hearing from their sound is bright upbeat pop-punk with a really strong drumbeat. Not really a generic pop-punk sound.
But then again, I can't really judge until we hear that free downloadable EP, right?

ok yea so most of the bands are like that .... but keep in mind Rx Bandits, Steel Train (people may not like them but they are different) and The Early November always brings something different to the table
so keep an open mind and dont think just because they have signed bands like that in past they wont sign something different
but....this band is like different it sounds like pop punk but its like weird i think i dont know tho i cant really tell from the flash intro

Well .. we tried to hint at it as much as possible, but we can't really announce that sort of thing before the label wants us to. If the old news archives were up I'd show you the hints, but alas, they are not. O well .. heh.

The last post I remember seeing about Drive-Thru said they were supposed to sign "Hellogoodbye". Whatever happened to that?

yeah, the flash intro isn't working. looking forward to hearing this though. i'm at work and can't check yet, but has anyone searched kazaa to see if there's music up that we can download? i'm really curious, this is a bit out of the blue. i didn't think they'd be signing anyone for a while (the whole geffen deal saint joel talked about). not a whole lot on the net about these cats. no site blah blah blah. does anyone know anything about jenoah?

It's hard for me to base judgement on 15 sec of music...
...Well, in that picture they look... Like Steel Train.

I didn't see this one coming.
The song preview is alright. Have that catchy hook in it. No songs on kazaa and I can't seem to find a website related to the band either

the steel train thing was my first thought. the music, however, i think its pretty rad. i mean.. yes its hard to judge after a short clip but... i like it. i think it would suck if it is just steel train in another band. im looking for something NEW. haha. oh well
they sounded nothing like it, but i cant be the only one who got cursive flashbacks from that "do do do" thing

ok ok i know its a bold statement....but i've known these guys for a while now and watched this band form before my very eyes....the ideas they have and the lyrics written by Steve are incredible. The best description i have heard to describe their music would be....if at the drive in and hot hot heat were fused together... and there live show is amazing. If you are a skeptic (like many of you i know are) just check out the energy and raw passion these guys have in their music. it'll make you a believer. So yeah.....the mae/locale am comparisons couldn't be further from the truth....popular music needs a kick in the ass......and jenoah will shove it up there. you just wait.........

ok heres the best info i could find on this band, its a side project of one of the members of another band called ciociosan, and their website is ciociosan.com, they are from redlands, california so i am guessing jenoah is from that area as well, you can download some of that bands stuff although im not sure if that will necessarily bring any idea to what jenoah sounds like, but if you are curious...it also mentions in their news section about the signing

yes that definately made me think tim kasher was singing that song.
i'm not going to lie, i like drive thru and most of the bands on it, but if everyone is looking for new music, stop jacking off to the drive thru dvd and start a dance party. junior senior motherfuckers!
