This was posted on the main page earlier:

Drive-Thru Records has signed Jenoah. They have a flash intro on the DTR site offically welcoming them to the label, and will have a downloadable ep on the DTR site sometime in February.

That's pretty awesome. I checked out the flash intro and they sound pretty good. This may be a new Drive-Thru band i'll like. It's hard to say right now. Just letting you all know :)

Ah Chris, you and your hatred for Drive Thru.

One of the few things I disagree with you on. Drive Thru is an excellent label and has quality bands.

Jenoah sounds really impressive by the way.

Has anyone ever heard of them before? It seems strange that they just sign with Drive-Thru.

MaybeOneDay

Well, no, I haven't.

It seems Drive-Thru is like that. They just sign bands out of the blue that nobody has ever heard of before..and then these bands get huge and become really popular. I've seen it happen so many times with them.

They didn't actually complete a deal with Hazen Street. Yeah, they played a few shows with some other bands on DTR and they were listed on the site and stuff, but i'm pretty sure it fell through with them so I don't think anythings happening there. They were going to sign them but they picked up these other bands instead I heard, like HIPV for example.

The only band on Drive Thru worth their salt is the RX Bandits. The rest of the label is mall punk garbage that no one will remember in a few years.

Pro tip: Out of place screaming and synchronized jumps don't make you a good a band.

Pro tip to self:Learn to spell the word "tip"

Sure, many of them probably won't be remembered in the long run, but you can't say that for all of them.

Take New Found Glory for example. They've been around for a while now, and everybody is still into them.

My two least favourite Drive Thru bands would probably be the Early November and Steel Train.

They haven't been around that long. And they just broke into the mainstream a couple years ago, give it time. In 5 years no one will remember them. I'm willing to bet that in 5 years 90% of the people on this site no longer listen to any of the bands they claim "changed their lives".

Fair enough. I guess only time will tell. But I can guarantee you i'll still be listening to the one band that changed my life. And don't say they haven't been around long enough. I'm sure you know who i'm talking about.

New Found Glory have been around for longer than any of the really popular pop-punk bands, Good Charlotte and Simple Plan.

That latter part of what you said, fair enough.

Besides Green Day and Blink 182, New Found Glory have been around the longest of the really popular pop-punk bands. So yeah, what Trent said.

I have respect for Green Day, blink 182, and New Found Glory. Hard-working bands who deserve to be where they are now.

Jackyl? Ratt? Twisted Sister? I'm drawing a blank here...

Well, I'd hope so, considering those bands are just riding the trend.
