Discuss, or I Will Beat Your Ass (Because I Am Not Afraid of You)

The video for Sugarcube is amazing. And David Cross and Bob Odenkirk being in it only makes it better.

Thanks for making this thread - made me throw on I Can Hear The Heart Beating As One. So good. "Autumn Sweater" is such a great song (as are all of them, really).

Hell of a lineup. Here's hoping they all play a decent amount of older stuff.

The coolest part: the band's setlists are going to be based solely on the ticket purchaser's choosing. When you bought a ticket, you were linked to an additional page that allowed you to vote on what songs the band should play. So the song's with the most votes will make up the band's setlists.

Yeah I'm feverishley trying to listen to each band's classic releases in time for the concert (July 17th). My avatar is a dead giveaway of what I'm on now, will be listening to I Can Feel The Heart... next.

Haha by July 17th? You'll definitely have enough time to tackle those records before then.

The band's new album Popular Songs comes out tomorrow, but the girl at my record store sold it to me a day early. Score. If it wasn't for the internet, this would be awesome. Anyway, its really good.

listening to I Am Not Afraid Of You, And I Will Beat Your Ass for the first time because this album had the coolest name. this first song is rocking my world. i am convinced shoegaze production would make any other simple pop-rock music a million times more interesting, i love how the guitars are loaded with distortion and take up like EVERYTHING in the mix. you just get lost in an ocean of noise while that addictive as fuck bassline and the beat keep chugging, i could listen to this for more than the 10 minutes and not tire of it.

I've never been able to get into that one too much, but "Tom Courtenay" is a pretty cool song.
