I know they aren't punk, but I just bought the album "Across a Wrie". I just had to say that the 1st disc ( VH1 Storytellers ) is an amazing album. It is a pretty old Cd, but has anybody else heard it? Do u think it is their best album? Just wondering.

I own "Across a Wire". Very good CD. Awesome band. Adam Duritz is a great song writer.

the counting crows are one of the most important rock bands of our generation. in an era where garage grunge rock dominated, they did something different, and they did it damn well. in my opinion, disc 1 of "across a wire" is one of the best live albums ever released (second probably only to nirvana's legendary unplugged record). adam duritz is a song writing genius with a voice to match.

if you go to amazon.com and look around under the a list artists or something, there's an entire counting crows concert up for streaming and it's free and it's awesome. it's basically a video version of "across a wire" with some newer songs.

rolling stone has some exlusive counting crows videos up for streaming too (the "rain king" video is just mindblowing--a whole added verse) and if you're not familiar with them, go check this out. i'm looking at you takingbackrufio and maybeoneday.

they're one of my favorite bands of all time. good move on buying that album.
