I would have been so pissed if Maria Sharapova lost.

I hope Sharapova and Ana Ivanovic meet in the finals. I'm not sure what they are seeded, so I'm not sure if it's possible, but that would be the best women's finals ever.

As for the guys, I'm going for the fellow American, James Blake. I'm also a Juan Carlos Ferrero fan (the Mosquito).

Safin had actually been playing a bit better but getting Davydenko in the 2nd round is a tough draw but I thought it would be a bit closer than it ended up being. Huge win today for Genepri over Andreev and the draw isn't too bad in the 3rd round so there's a definite possibility of an American into the round of 16.

i havent been watching much of it at all, just because the French is the most boring slow paced tournament and just isnt as fun to watch. still rooting hard for Ivanovic to win, especially since she made the final last year. but otherwise, call me when Wimbledon starts

that being said, ill probably watch the quater finals, and the possibility of Radwanska vs. Jankovic is very interesting to me. cant believe Chakvetadze got knocked out so early; then again shes never won a tournament on clay, despite reaching the quarters of the French last year. still, shame, coz shes a talented young player

and yes, i only really give a shit about the womens game. mens matches are usually too long for my liking. that being said, really hope Djokovic for 2 for 2 in 2008 and steals Nadal's crown, although it probably wont happen

She could have easily requested a stoppage of play but it looked like she didn't care whether she lost or not just as long as she didn't have to come back tomorrow morning to finish. I also don't mind Venus as much but I usually root against her when she's up against top ranked opponents. I think Serena should quit since she seems to have too many off courts interests and still hasn't gotten in great shape. Venus is still the best grass court player by a mile so she'll always contend for Wimbledon which should keep her attention on playing.

Federer had trouble closing out each set again which has become a bit troubling. Hopefully Gonzo doesn't put too many hot streaks together and he can breeze through that match. I'm looking forward to the Nadal/Almagro match though since that's the one guy who has more clay court wins than Nadal this year.

I was out this morning so I missed Federer's match but it looked like he cruised after dropping the first set. Apparently he was more aggressive and came to net often which is good since he's going to have to do both of those to have a chance against Rafa.

This Ferrer/Monfils match is shaping up to be a good one.

Its a victory for Federer if he wins a setI think he has a shot of pulling it off. He's coming closer each time they play on clay. The only problem is with the best of 5 format it's tough to play at the necessary level for 3 to 4 hours. Federer's best chance is to let each set get to a breaker.
